Thank you so much! The paisley fabric on the curtains and shams is called Karaj Paisley/Mineral, and the diamond pattern on the small pillow and bed skirt is Pomeroy Spray. I realize neither of those names is the manufacturer but you could call Calico Corners and they could possibly look it up for you. Google might give you some results too. I saw the Pomeroy fabric offered in Ballard Designs but a different color than "Spray". My inspiration for this room came from the March 2009 Traditional Home. There was a living room done in the Woodlawn Blue, and some upholstery in khakis and greens and creams. I fell in love with the look.

Thank you Jen. Fortunately, he's still in school, starting his senior year! Yea!!! Anele, I'm so sorry you cant pull up the pictures. I just tried it again, copying only where it starts with http.....and including the jpg (just like you said, leaving out the IMG and the brackets) and it worked. I wish I knew how to post directly to the thread. Do you know how or anyone else out there that can advise?

DS did love the room when he came home for a short break. You would all laugh if I had taken pictures of the room for the short while he was at home. It looked like Hurricane Ike had passed thru again. But all worth the visit! No room is more important than the person that occupies it.

That is beautiful! It looks like a lovely guest suite at a wonderful B&B. I love the bedding and the wall color!

I'm cracking up at Nicole's WOW...how do you do that? Thank you for the info on the fabric Rucnmom...I'm glad to have it and will put it in my little file of decorating stuff. And Marti...yes he saw it just 2 weeks ago. I was dying for him to come home on his break from summer school just to see the new room. His reaction? "Whoa!" "You DID re-do my room!" I took that as a compliment. And he enjoyed the new look while here.

Angeldog, this is a fabulous example of a completely done room! I am one of those "wanna be" decorators who never finishes a room--and you are now my inspiration! I love how you accessorized the built in bookcase...you have an artist's eye.
I am wondering about the bed--your bedskirt seems so tall, I'm not sure if you know what I mean. Is the bed itself very high off the ground?

Hi Elle and thank you for the compliments, especially on the bookshelves. I love doing bookshelves, and constantly tweak the ones in my house! DS played a lot of sports all thru high school and some in college, so I had to box up and store SO much from the walls and shelves. The end product was a labor of love, deciding what stayed in the room and what would be stored.

The bed is an antique (it belonged to DH's great aunt) and is a little higher off the ground than the modern type with the iron frame. But the skirt also looks long because he has thick, tall mattresses. Sometimes I will staple a bedskirt on the inside of the side boards of a bed and you only see what hangs down from the box springs, but I wanted the skirt to start at the top of the box springs and cover the wooden side rails....I also tucked in the comforter because I could only find it in a Queen and it was too long to leave hanging over the side of the bed. But I wanted the tucked in look, so I didn't mind the size so much.
