Mrs. Howard suggests 3 Euro shams for a King bed, with the king sleeping pillows behind, and 2 22-inch decorative pillows, with maybe a smaller in front. I love her beds!

are you planning to put a duvet in the cover at the foot of bed or just the cover folded.
If the latter , then maybe buying the fabric or one panel would be a less expensive solution.
I agree with dee that 3 euro shams in back and then your decorative pillows in front.
I like Mrs. Howards way of doing this.

You could use three Vanessa Euros in back, your two white king shams in front of that, then one decorative pillow in the very front.

I have the Vanessa duvet (queen size) which I have paired with an ivory matalesse coverlet. I also debated what to do for the shams and whether to get the euros or standard sized ones. I first bought the euros and paired that with matalesse standard shams. I don't have a pic of it together with the duvet, but hopefully you can get the idea:

As I preferred using the duvet at the base, I wasn't too enamoured with this look, felt too much of the pattern was hidden by ivory shams so eliminated the matalesse shams and exchanged the euros for the standard sized ones like so:

I liked this much better, but still felt something was missing so ended up finding some ivory ruffled euroshams and a decorative center pillow which I felt completed the look:

Not sure if you can tell, but in the last pic there is no duvet insert, the second one there is. I plan to use the insert seasonally.

So, where does she buy sheets that are long enough to have a 14-inch turnback? I would love that. I buy good sheets, but if I kept enough fabric at the top to turn them back that much, I wouldn't be able to tuck in the sheet at the bottom of the bed!

I suspect she does the turnback further down the mattress than from right up at the headboard (like I was taught to make a bed many years ago). I have a king bed and some of the top sheets I use have TOO much turnback at the top. Seems like I get all tangled up in it at night!
