I've never made these yet, found the recipe online, but I've eaten plenty of these dumplings. They are excellent in chicken soup (along the lines of a won ton)or just fried until crispy in a pan like a potsticker! My grandmother used leftover pot roast for the filling. Kreplach (dumplings) * 2 cups all-purpose flour * 1/2 tsp. salt * 2 eggs, beaten * 1/4 cup cold water Process flour, salt, eggs in food processor with the metal blade. With the machine running, add water. The mixture needs to form a ball. Knead for 30 seconds, adding either more water or more flour to get correct consistency. Wrap dough in plastic while preparing meat. Meat Filling * 1 pound ground beef or 1 pound leftover brisket * 1 onion * 1 clove garlic * 1 large egg * salt and black pepper to taste If you are using raw meat, cook it with onion and garlic in a frying pan. Otherwise cook onion and garlic in a small amount of oil. Put cooked meat, onion and garlic in food processor and process until just smooth. Add egg, salt, and pepper. Divide the dough into 2 or 3 parts so that it does not dry out while filling. Roll each portion into a very thin rectangle, and cut into 3-inch squares. On each square, put a tablespoon or so of filling, and close into a triangle, wetting the edges and pressing them tightly. Put finished kreplach on a floured surface to wait. To cook the kreplach, bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Drop the kreplach into the water, and simmer for 15 minutes. Drain well. Serve in traditional chicken soup. The parboiled kreplach can be frozen or refrigerated before using. If you have more kreplach than will fit in a single layer, separate with oiled paper or foil so they don't stick. Quantity, about 30 kreplach.

This is alte but delicious for any event. My neighbor gave me this recipe and I made it for a friends shower last sunner. It was the hit of the party! Everyone wanted the recipe. A little different, but very good. I used boneless chx breast. Millionaire Chicken Makes 4 main-dish servings 1 whole 2-to-3 pound chicken (or bone-in chicken breasts) 1/2 head iceberg lettuce (or other crisp salad green) Sauce A: 1/4 cup soy sauce 2 tablespoons honey 1 clove garlic, minced Sauce B: 3 tablespoons peanut or corn oil 2 scallions (green onions), chopped 4 nickel-size slices fresh ginger root, peeled and minced 1/2 teaspoon whole Sichuan peppercorns, slightly crushed 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper Garnishes: About 1/2 carton cherry tomatoes, for garnish 1 small can whole water chestnuts, for garnish Poach chicken in simmering water until done. Cool, remove skin and bones, and cut meat into bite-size pieces. Arrange over shredded lettuce on a large platter. Combine ingredients for Sauce A in a small bowl; mix well and let stand for at least five minutes. Meanwhile, combine the ingredients for Sauce B in a small saucepan; heat over low flame for about three minutes. Remove from heat and pour Sauce B into bowl containing Sauce A, mixing well. Pour mixture over chicken and lettuce. Garnish rim of platter, alternating cherry tomatoes and water chestnuts

Stuffed Cabbage Head From Diana Rattray, This cabbage recipe was posted by Marie. 25 to 30 Cabbage leaves 3/4 cup uncooked rice 1 1/2 pint boiling water 2 tbsp. bacon drippings 1 med. onion, chopped fine 1 stick celery, chopped fine 1 cup lean ground beef 1 cup ground pork 1/2 cup cooked ham, chopped fine 1 egg, well beaten 1/8 tsp. nutmeg 1/4 tsp. thyme 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. red pepper 1 clove garlic, mashed A large white cotton cloth about 28 " square American or Velveeta cheese to grate Immerse cabbage leaves in salted boiling water; cook 2 to 3 min. or until wilted, adding a few at a time. Avoid crowding; drain and cool. Cook rice in boiling salted water 12 minutes; drain and transfer the rice to a large bowl. Cook ground pork in bacon drippings until brown, stirring occasionally. Add slat, pepper, garlic, onion, and celery, cook 5 minutes longer. Pour into cooked rice. Combine, rice, pork mixture, ham, ground beef, nutmeg, thyme, and egg, mix well and add more salt and pepper if necessary. Spread out the cloth. In center, place 4 cabbage leaves, to later resemble growing end of cabbage. Place about 1 tbsp. of mixture in center of each leaf and spread a bit. Continue building up the the head, using up the least attractive leaves first and placing dressing over each. Then at the last try and cover top and sides with the more perfect leaves, having used up all the dressing in the center. Bring up all 4 corners of the cloth and tie a string tightly and closely to the cabbage. In a large pot, pour 1 pint or more of water; place a rack or crumpled aluminum foil in the bottom. Place wrapped cabbage on rack, cover with a tight fitting lid and cook over med. heat. When water comes to a boil, reduce heat and cook 1 hour. When it is done, turn off the heat and let set covered for 10 minutes. Then untie string, unwrap, grate cheese over top, cover again for a couple of minutes, then gently lift our cloth and slip onto a platter. Serve sliced in wedges, cut like a cake, pass your favorite tomato sauce over each helping.
