Thank you for your nice comments, you are being very kind.:) About the cucumbers in my experience they will grow bigger and then you can still eat them at any size, just trim the inside. They get bitter when they get uneven watering. When is very hot, I try to keep them moist. It is better for production to keep the fruit picked while young and not to let it mature because that can send the wrong signals to the plant. I just had a cucumber cooler it is made in the blender with cucumber, water, lime juice, mint, sugar to taste, a pinch of salt and pepper. Silvia

It's a great variety George and I'm glad you shared it with me so I could have my seed producers do the seed saving, and I could offer it to others elsewhere and I did send it for trial to a couple of places I think, fingers crossed. Carolyn, who just checked Tania's site but no listing for it yet. It almost always taked a few years from when someone commercial can up th eseed production and offer a variety.

I am in SW Ga and grew turmeric this year, All in containers and decided to dig them up and leave the soil intact. Placed the in a couple cardboard boxes and put them in the greenhouse but not to be watered. That was right before frost and they look great. I can pull from them anytime and still should be able to plant them when frost is over. I wonder though if you would need to dig it up in your zone, does it freeze there? Is it a mild freeze only lasting a short time, and if so I'd put some heavy mulch on the rhizomes for protection. What are others in your zone doing with it, if there is someone.

I knew everyone woudl say that:) It gets more interesting. I harvested medium size in summer. When I did now all I find are very very small ones. TGhey had scapes full of seeds. It seems like all the heads rotted (I find this hard to believe) and only small plants from the seeds from 2024 are there. It is a damp area. In my raised beds (somewhere else) I have many I do not harvest sprout.
