fenworth, oh boy, I will be in trouble with how my stuff is placed in bags. I always sort in the cart and when placing on the belt. Makes for a better job of putting stuff away when I get home and gives me some control over stuff getting broken or mashed. Gina, good meats is something that will be a plus. I don't cook meat often, just me at home. But I do cook nice dinners for family and sometimes it's hard to find the cuts I want. There are a couple of small butcher shops here, both a fair drive for me and the only time I can get to them is on the weekend. And of course neither one is near the stores where I do my weekly shopping. I would like to do that larger shopping trip all in one place and not have to drive 30 miles in one direction and then 20 miles in the other. I don't want to spend most of the day shopping for food, when I could be home cooking it. We do have Food Lion here and rather than go to Walmart I try to shop there for anything I don't pick up after work at Safeway. And I was let down by Safeway this year because they didn't carry the Meyer Lemons. They had them the year before and that was the first time I had been able to find them. SuperG and Super Fresh have never had them. I am hoping HT will carry them this year. Now that I have had some I want more! Teresa, I have read about FAGE Greek yogurt on a posting here and have looked for it but never found any, nice to know I might have a chance to finally try it. Thanks everyone for the info. I am already planning a trip with my daughter to check out the new store. I sure hope it is open in early Dec. so I can plan holiday cooking. Kat

When i was in England My brother in law would drive the mini over to France by the tunnel, and load up with wine as much as he could as it is dirt cheap there, like $2 and $3 a bottle and he would share it with family, he always went thru nothing to declare, and the mini was hugging the road, also he had to remember to drive back on the other side of the road which is a real chalenge.

Well, this morning was the big taste test and of the four vinegars the white wine had the most interesting flavor (it is also the oldest). The scuppernong tasted kinda ordinary but still had some fruitiness to its aroma. The red wine had no flavor and the apple cider vinegar was nothing special (I had high hopes for it, since it was made from organic apple cider and since I use a lot of apple cider vinegar and like the flavor). Now I have to strain them and bottle them and allow them to finish curing(ageing) and hope for better flavors to develop. bud wi - when I moved here the grapes were just ripening and I could barely control myself. The place I worked had an entire row of about 15 cultivars - each with its own distinct flavor and ripening time. You can actually get a headache from the sugar content if you eat too many of them. I started trying different recipes with them which disgusted the locals. They claimed that the only reason people grow them in their back yards is for home made wine. The local wineries that use them produce wine that is very sweet - kinda like Japanese plum wine.

Yeah, I try not to drink at all if I'm driving. I can't figure why anyone would have more than a glass or two if someone is driving. Granted, a large male who drinks regularly should be able to handle more than a smaller female who doesn't really drink... but why would any adult who has to drive drink enough that they would get sick? Just very irresponsible, IMO. Reargding how much is enough... I think you may need to take into consideration that different wines do have different alchohol contents. There is one wine I drink that has a very low content. I can drink it all night (of course, I'm not driving these nights) and still not feel anything, while sometimes I have a glass of a different type of wine and feel the effects right away. I don't hear people talk about different alchohol contents in wine much, but it can matter a lot. Of course how long you are going to be out, how much you are eating, and how often you drink can largely effect things too. Here is a link that might be useful: Alchohol in Wine
