That is caused by blister mites and will not harm the fruit. Stylet oil will kill the mites.

OK-although it says "Wine" the description did say "grape growing". 1. All my grapes are the American juice and jelly making types, though some can be used for wine making. 2, They were planted several years ago with the idea that the support system was imminent and,,,, it wasn't. So, they've been pretty much left to their own devices, rambling along the ground and neglected. 3. We finally got a sturdy support system built with 2 wires at 3 and 6 feet and I have lifted them off the ground and tied them vertically, but I am nervous about the how and when of pruning. One year, frosts killed successive leaf buds until I was certain the vines weren't going to make it. Internet searches mention March pruning but we won't have our last hard freeze until April in S.Central PA. 4. I have long skinny vines, some with all the vines coming from the base like fingers on a hand. What to do with these? Others have just 2 vines from the base with side shoots awkwardly spaced for training. Advice on how to really help this problem I've created? Sigh. Live and learn. Have your arbor FIRST!
