Hey Beeliz, I have a male pygmy goat. He's really sweet and tons of fun, but YES! they can be destructive!!! We don't have a pen/fence to keep him in. He stays in our back yard; our yard is fenced up but he hangs out on our back porch all day long!! He will use the bathroom/pee all over the deck. I have tried to get him to stop by: if I see him doing it I grab his collar and lead him off the deck, but nothing has helped. He isn't responsive either if he doesn't want to be, but I think that's how most goats are--they kinda do as they please. He's great with my ducks/cats and all but he will ram into my dogs. I don't know why becasue none of them bother him/chase him or anything--infact he's much bigger than they are!!! He loves me infact, he will follow me every where and kinda guards me and doesn't want anyone to stand beside me or he has got to where he will ran into them--why? I have no idea LOL He isn't good w/ my little niece. He will knock her down and so I don't know if all goats are like that or not with kids--I think maybe it's cause she's only 3 and so much smaller than everyone else. But besides all that I love Reese to death. He makes me smile and laugh each day and he's just a sweet little guy. Even though he's a pygmy though he definitely isn't as small as I thought pygmys were! He weighs around 60 pounds or more...and he has gotten way taller in the last few months. Anyway let me know if you get one! I female might be mroe calm if you get one I really don't know about that. We got Reese neutered so if you get one you might wanna do that too if you're getting it as a pet. Good Luck! Genny

We're using the glue down cork tiles in our kitchen. They are unfinished, we will site finish them with poly. It was my understanding that for wet areas, you want to use the glue down tiles, site finished. Glue down because the engineered kind have particle board or something like that that makes up the backing material. Site finished because a solid poly over coating seals the seems making it less likely for water to penetrate. That being said, I still wouldn't install it in a laundry room. I guess you could order a sample of a glue down tile and soak it in water. I don't think the cork itself absorbs the water but the water would destroy the adhesive. Although, that being said, it would destroy the adhesive on vinyl too. I still think tile in the laundry is the safest option, but if you can find glue down cork cheap enough, as long as you site finish I don't see why it wouldn't work.

I picked out the rope handles first and knew the patine rouge color would go with all three of my cab colors. In addition to three cab colors, I also have 2 cab styles--the island is a different style and color than the wall cabs. Once I had my rope handles, I knew I didn't want everything to be matchy matchy but I wanted them all to coordinate. I knew I wanted the hanging circle knobs for my upper top cabs. So once I had two picked out, I loved the look of the long door handles that were going to go on the flat panel drawer above the rope handles. Those 3 choices were the hardest. The next two were easier. In deciding what goes where, I went mostly, but not all the time, in lines--the upper top wall cabs got all the same knobs, the lower wall cabs got all the same knobs, the first drawer in each stack got the same handle, the lower two drawers and the base cab got the same handle and the skinny drawer and cabs got the same handle. Personally, I think it would be a crying shame to butcher that into a vanity. It's very late Victorian European wash stand. They were common as grass about 30 to 40 years ago when dealers and decorators would go to Europe and load up a shipping container with antiques. I have a tile backed, marble topped one similar to yours ( but yours is prettier!) and did a bit of research when I bought it. Seems that they were a sort of spare room fixture and often found in guest houses and small country hotels. I too think it would be a shame to butcher it, and unless you cut a hole in the marble top your vessel sink will look odd because it will be too tall. They make lovely plant stands or a side table to mix drinks. With high quality antiques I do agree with you. As for the fact that they were originally wash stands, I'm assuming they originally had tall bowls with water pitchers standing on it. I'm thinking of doing a nice copper bowl for the top. As the bowl would only be 5" tall, it will not be blocking the tile backsplash. If marble top is not orginal, then cutting hole for sink should not be a problem Why would it be a problem if it's original?
