I think it's very cute, but I don't know the rest of your room . . .what don't you like about the cream? Do you trust your DH to look at it/sit in it/inspect it?

I'd talk down the price.

Anele, the room is pretty much a blank canvas. We recently put our four poster back up after selling the furniture I did not like. Here are pics of the bed from our old house. I don't have a complete picture of the bed. Ignore the bedding as we no longer use it. Also here is the end table that I purchased off CL for my guest room but we have now moved it into the master. There is no color or anything on the walls and I'm still working on the direction I want to go in. I do know that I would like to have seating in the room and want to put something at the foot of the bed if that helps. OH yeah, I'm still looking for a dresser and have decided that I'm going to use a skirted table or mirrored chest for my side of the bed.

I guess I'm concerned about the cream getting dirty but that is my only objection.

Deb, the cream already looks to be very dirty. I'm not sure what caused the yellowing. Could be cigarette smoke, in which case it would have permeated the whole piece.

For me, it would depend on the maker of the piece and how expensive it would be to reupholster.

I also think since you don't know which direction you want to go in colorwise, it would just be best to wait.

I'd pass, esp. since YOU won't be able to see it unless you are in love with the lines and trust your DH's judgment re: comfort-- keeping in mind you'd reupholster.

Very pretty bed and table-- maybe you should just keep the bed!

Thanks Anele and Parma for the quick responses. I think I'm going to pass since clearly I have doubts. I spoke to my hubby after I posted the last comment and he seemed to have doubts as well. So will keep up the search.

FYI, the bed posted is the one that we kept and recently put back up in the master and moved the table posted to our master. I want to get it right this time so thanks for helping me to work it out pretty quickly :) Thanks for the compliments on the table.

I love your 4 poster! Think you made the right decision on that sofa. Have you considered a bench for the foot of the bed?

Natal, I've been looking at benches as well but so far, have not found anything on CL that will work.

I think it was a good decision to pass on that. There is something about the curve of the arms that bothers me.
