Thank you , isabella. Yes, Dave's is a wonderful resource. I need to check it out more closely. Wow! catkim, lots of blogs for me to try...thank you. The advantage to the blogs I have mentioned above, and the posts on the Decorating forum are that the photos are on a continuous scroll down vs. having to click on each individual small pic that looks interesting. Many of us who are 'obsessed' with our homes, be it interior or exterior , peruse magazines and books for ideas and inspiration. These bloggers and posters take their great findings and put them on here for others to enjoy, and in most cases, add to as well. It has to be time consuming for these generous posters. The result is like flipping pages of beautiful, expensive books on decor, etc. by simply scrolling down. Perhaps some of your blogs are like this, catkim....I hope so! OT, but speaking of giving natures, it always impresses me to see the generosity of the pros on this site taking their time to help novices with their landscape attempts. It may someday be me...if I ever learn how to post a photo :>/

Among my favorites are Cote de Texas, Pure Style Home, House of Turquoise, Velvet and Linen, and Colour Me Happy. http://www.blogrankings.com/lifestyle/ has a list of some of the more popular decor blogs. Also - look on the sidebar of any of these blogs - they have links to other decor blogs. Cote de Texas' sidebar is particularly comprehensive.

Yeah...definitely some eye candy there...gonna save some of those pics, that is one my favorite blogs. I'm not to wild about the rooms that some people refer to as "timeless" when it seems like they tried to cram as many things in the room that didn't match or have anything to tie the elements together...maybe I need to get in touch with my schizo side more...LOL. She sure doesn't like MCM though...a shame really as it does have great value. That kitchen with the Swedish table is really beautiful...and give me that Marie Antoinette room any day...breathless!!! Thanks for posting Teacats, truly enjoyable viewing. I have a book called "The Great Lady Decorators" which covers the decor of ladies like Elsie de Wolfe and Nancy Lancaster...it is a great investment...so wonderful to look at, including tons of pictures like the ones on the Cote de Texas site. ...and now back to my not so extravagantly decorated home...LOL

I don't visit any of those blogs. I use Google Reader instead. With a reader, you just plug in the URLs of the blogs you like (I added a button to my browser menu bar) and it pulls the updates (with pictures) into the reader as they are posted. I have two reader accounts, one for work and one for home stuff. When I have time, I log in and read through the updates. In essence, it's like reading all the blogs you like in a "in box" format without the posts taking up space in your email account. Instead of having the posts pushed to you, you only have to deal with them when you wan to (some days, I leave Google Reader open to catch updates as they come and others, I can't check at all).

Oh my gosh, how gorgeous are those rooms? I love walls painted black. Makes you want to go shopping and painting.

The pictures of the Kennedy children are adorable.

I hadn't dropped by the site in a while. Thanks for the reminder.

It's funny, to me, that there is so much bashing of formal spaces that look like they couldn't be used or enjoyed. I look at them as if they were a beautiful piece of art.

The room on the cover of Michael S Smith is to die for, IMO. It combines warm and cool in a way that is so perfect that it appears artistic. There is no way that the sofa could be comfortable or the side table useful, but I would be elated to just walk into that room on a daily basis. It is stunning.

For those of you who don't know, you can subscribe to blogs via Google Reader. It can be a real time saver if you visit a lot of blogs.
