Now I have the plywood To make my Susan well nigh good But what should I do About the choice of the hue So -R can see that he could? Well, the camera's battery is getting charged, and despite a high of a freezing temperature today, I'm thinking construction operations should commence. However, I need to ask your opinion - what should I do about preserving the wood? 1) Stain 2) Paint 3) Nothing - it's 3/4" plywood and might promote that 'Aloe Ranch' look which is, of course, casual yet elegant. There are two squares, one 12" and one 14" (the base), and the model of bearings set I'm using is the 9C / 9" circular model (see link), capable of holding up to 750 lbs., which is about what one of those Thailand Adeniums weighs. Your opinion not only counts, it speaks five languages! Here is a link that might be useful: My Wife Thinks This Hardware is Misnamed

Well folks I am home after a weekend in the Temple hospital. God blessed me with some great doctors and nurses . What I was transferred to Temple for is they thought there was a problem with my aorta lining being separated in one spot and Harker Hights could not handle such issues . But much to the doctors relief as well as mine this was not the case . The whole problem revolved around an alergic reaction which developed over time to my prescription to lisinopril which is a blood presure med. so be warned if you are prescribed this med you may after time develop an allergic reaction which involves swelling in the extremities which is inflamed and at times it itches . also can lower your blood pressure to near dangerous low levels. so be on guard if you your loved ones or your friends take this drug it can be dangerous. Some other good news I forgot to mention. Since I last saw my Doctor in Bryan earlier this year my heart function is up 9% and I have lost 15 pounds . A great victory thanks to the help and good care of my doctors and nurses And the good Lord looking after me. This is one reason I have not been very active on the forum this year. hope to change that dramatically. I have missed everyone. Merry Christmas. Kevin

Wonder how an old fence picket would look fixed like that.
I can't paint good but maybe it would look halfway like old Santa. haha

How about turning it upside down and making a tree? You could do the same things as you did for santas wiskers and make a few triangle cutouts to delineate the tree shape? I like how you made it his entire face, so cute.

I like your Santa ski. Is it a water ski? You could paint Santa on an old surfboard, snowboard, sled or tobaggan.

Now a days I'm looking at everything around me that would make a painting surface. I still have my old skates to paint up.

Another idea for an object to paint Santa on would be a lobster buoy. They are oblong with a hanger on top.
If you google santa+buoy you should see what I mean.

What a neat idea! How about a reindeer for the other one--Rudolph perhaps??? Sort of like the clothespin reindeer on a bigger scale---cute!
