Just last week I saw a big wooden frame painted silver and on the inside of it was a wreath made of silver glass balls. It looked really nice and I plan to make one of those this year. It wouldn't have to be silver, though....you could use gold or red or whatever color you'd like. I'm thinking red or burgundy for myself.

I tried to find one I've seen that has the easel made from branches and a living windowbox of flowers growing in it, with the Picture frame looking almost like a window behind the windowbox, but I couldn't find it. :-(

not a bad idea to use a frame to hang a wreath inside it.tho some wreaths hanging on doors still make me sqeamish.when i was growing up wreaths were only placed on doors of where a person had died.
could a large frame be used to make a small quilt frame?i recall mama's old quilting frame.it rested near the ceiling and when she's ready to sew again would use the attached rope to lower it.like a pulley.she made quilts in the summers.they were so big and thick that once you got under those jokers it was difficult to turn over.but we never froze.

Thanks for the ideas. I also have seen frames used for trays. They just added handles and feet. Mirrored ones for candles. I like the ideas so far and just realized there is a similar post.(sorry) I hate to get rid of these nice frames. Maybe I'll also frame some christmas cards or try to find some christmas pictures. I do have an easel maybe if I move it behind the sofa and add a frame and wreath etc it would add interest. (its a funny corner behind my couch) Or paint with chalkboard paint and make a menu board for my dining room.

I have a huge mirror in my bathroom
and it looked so plain. I hung a big picture frame ( with ribbon)
right in the middle and it looks like another mirror hanging there.

I take any of my frames that loose the glass and use them for my craft projects.

Sometimes I see those primitve sticheries that I love but I have yet to actually make one so instead I take paper that's big enough that I can just glue it to the back of the frame and do my work on that and then "frame" it. DH just asked me last week if I really made the one here beside the computer. It looks like a real stitchery when you step away from it a bit!

I also found a saying I liked once and printed it out on a brown paper bag and glued it to the frame.

The others suggestions are great too with the wreaths. You could hang just about anything in there, though.

You could also use the frame and some wood and make a memory or shadow box. You can always get glass cut to fit!
