Why it shows one way or another depends on many things as others have mentioned: the light, the context, the "observer". It can also depend on how it was mixed, who mixed it, how they mixed it and what base they used.

Bottom line is Amy is right. The way Kilim Beige shows in other people's houses isn't relevant to you and your house. You just have to get a sample and see what it does.
