Someone, please help! I am an amateur at vegetable gardening and would really, really appreciate some guidance ASAP. Thanks so much.

I blow the leaves into rows, then chop them up with my lawn tractor. then blow them down into the back woods on my property, where they rot away. Some times, my next door neighbor, or the one across the road, will blow them into rows after chopping them up with their tractors. After that, they are scattered fairly good, then Ma Nature sends a big wind, which sends them into the back woods, too! Feller across road just came home with a leaf gathering machine! WHEEE! The winter winds take care of any stragglers!

It's been 3 years since the renovation (thanks again GW members for all the great advice!). Last night was the second Thanksgiving dinner I've cooked in the kitchen. Everything from appliances to lighting to layout functioned exactly as I wanted (thanks to 2 years of planning before demo). And in the end, I didn't think about the kitchen, just enjoyed it...kind of like wearing a favorite pair of jeans. It's turned into a comfortable and warm space, one I can share with friends and family at each holiday.

Yeah, now that I'm retired and just the 2 of us, I don't really feel a great need to make and freeze stuff. I'm also just a 20 min walk to a twice a week farmers market if I really need something. But now we have a cherry and peach tree that is filling our freezer! The thing is.....we don't eat sweets! Oh well, we'll be the ones bringing sweet treats to all of the pot lucks from now on!
