I'm the antithesis of the "stereotypical" blonde. Blonde, big boo . . . umm . . attributes, but with brains.

I hate it when people treat me like a "blonde" just because of my hair color (although the gray is creeping in rapidly so it might be a moot point soon).

I always wanted to color my hair red but could never work up the courage.

Also a natural but have help now w/henna I brought from the Middle East. Was called "Red" all through school.

I'm an alburn..(reddisn/brown)...because "I'm worth it!" Love love love red hair!!!! Me and Loreal! Have started getting highlights at the "beauty shop" professionally done, but my guy is so cool, that he told me to bring in my box of Loreal to apply himself because I screw up the highlights..how cool is that...and he doesn't charge me! He knows I'd rather spend that kind of money on JUNK or mosaic things!

Well I wassssss a natural blonde with brown eyes which I always thought was weird...wanted black hair and blue eyes.I've thought about red since all the gray creaped in but haven't had the nerve to try it yet...Wench unlike you I didn't get the boo.. to go with the blonde hair alway's wanted that too!LOL.Wench..I had you pictured as a brunette not a blonde I had lyndlu pictured as a brunette but was wrong both times.Funny how we picture someone in our minds and it's all wrong. I think we're a great looking and talented bunch no matter what color hair we have.Right gals??

I was a brunette with natural red streaks til about 10 or 15 years ago,when the gray came in big time. Both my children were born with red hair,and 2 of my 3 grandchildren. All my siblings but my twin have red hair(she's blonde,we don't even look related to each other!),and I am the only one with red headed kidlings :) My aunts had red hair,too,so do my cousins. When we used to get together we looked like some kind of red headed coven,and the joke was if we saw a red head we didn't know they were probably related to us somehow :) But I use Revlon #53,the color seems to last longer!

LOL crackpot - I always wanted to give the "attributes" away . . . like donate them to under-privileged girls or something (mine showed up in full when I was NINE years old)!!

Clothes don't fit right, guys never look you in the eye, running was out of the question (black eyes!), and they hurt like mad at least one week a month. Don't get me started on mammograms . . . . .ugh!

I always thought they should offer "attribute" transplants with REAL donor tissue rather than silicone. I'd be at the head of the donor line.

Wench...I'm first in line..LOL my mom had them but I guess i got my dad's long legs instead before cellulite took them like gray did my hair...LOL!

jane - yes - you're right - it is surprising how many redheads we have!

annie - well, you were actually right - my NATURAL color WAS brunette! Actually, I always considered it a "dirty blonde" - very light brown, with lots of lighter highlights. I was always adventurous with hair color, though - and had it every available color at one time or another, and was a redhead for a long time! I had every shade of red from strawberry blonde to really red to auburn. Loved red! Now it's just keeping the grey covered!

I've been away - in North Carolina for a week - and I think it's going to take me forever to catch up with all the posts! And of course, I have to look at EVERY post, cause I don't want to miss anything! Took my laptop with me, but the only wireless connection I located was password protected. I know I could have probably gone somewhere to get connected (library, cafe or something) but I didn't really have the time to do that.

I used to be a red head in the bottle - but not really red - a dark brown chestnut red ... It made me look 10 years younger .(That was my original color ) I'm salt & pepper now --- My hair grows so fast - my roots would show in 2 weeks.

Oh, bamasusanna, I use 7LA! I have been a redhead for years. Couldn't change it because all my clothes go with red (auburn) hair.

I am a "tweeny" I'm in between red and blond. So I have the fire of a redhead, but yet often get treated like a blond. So I decided to let the grey start to grow in.
Guess what?
It only makes me look blonder! lol.
