Undercabinet TV mounts? Anyone?

So I did a search but turned up nothing...I'm looking for pics of any undercabinet tv mounts...you know, the kind where the tv folds up and away? We have a small 15 inch flatscreen we're trying to integrate into our 'in progress' remodel, but I just can't find the right place for it!

Are these things eyesores, even when tucked away? I'm at a loss for how to deal with this problem.

My kitchen isn't big 13X12ish, with your basic L set up plus island, so I don't have a ton of options.

Suggestions or pictures please????

I used this mount from Amazon, but my TV is a bit too big to be folded up. I like the mount though, and it swivels well. I bought mine several years ago, and paid less than what it's going for now.

Our 15" flat screen is mounted on a swing-out arm in the cabinet above our fridge. It works well for us since it can be turned to be seen from the prep area or table.

Your biggest issue will be the antenna. If you have a house antenna, you'll want to install a splitter and run a cable to your TV. The aerial that comes with the TV could be very cumbersome if it needs to be adjusted, especially if it has to stick out from under the cabinets. Keep in mind that each time you split the antenna cable, you lose at least 5db of signal. Depending on how many times you've already split the cable and how strong your signal is, you may have to add an amplified distribution. This is all simple to do, and worth considering. You also want to be able to plug the tv in so make sure there is a receptacle close enough where you can hide the wiring and not have to use any extension cords. Don't mount the tv where it can be exposed to steam from cooking, coffee pots, hot oven and water from the sink. If you mount it near a microwave, you will get disturbance while the microwave is running. If you spend a lot of time in the kitchen, it's worth the effort. In my case, when I wake up in the morning and am having my coffee before tackling my day, it's great to catch the news and weather sitting at the breakfast nook.

Here is a link to the only such device I have found. I haven't purchased it yet so I have no information on how well it works. Since it is my understanding that they are relatively expensive, I suspect the manufacturer rep can provide info on sales or customer feedback. anyone have a swivel wall mount TV in the kitchen?

I have a 22" samsung mounted on a swivel mount and when flat against the wall it sticks out 7" from the wall. Sizes of the mounts are dictated by the size of the TV so maybe you need a smaller mount? Unfortunately no pictures.

Here's some ideas: Hang a few square floating shelves (not aligned to each other) above the 2 tvs. This would offset the tvs' malalignment and come off as intentional. Hang the 65'' horizontally and 55'' vertically, so it seems that they have different purposes. Hang the tvs each on a lighted floating wall panel, but decorate each panel differently.

I know I posted about our Venturer fold-up. Look for a photo of our desk area--the t.v. is folded up on that one.

Thanks guys! I knew I'd get good suggestions here.
Biochem, thanks for digging up that post...I actually remember looking at that thread a few months ago (before the TV issue was on my radar screen).

I think we're going to combine solutions shown here...we have an open cab over my fridge which currently houses cookbooks, but we're going to give that swing-arm mount a whirl and see if the TV makes sense up there.

Hopefully eventually pics will make it into some sort of 'finished!' thread....but there's still lots to do, although the guts of the kitchen are in. Still have bs, crown/trim, painting, final coat of poly on the floor...and the real dilemma, where to put the darn microwave!

At least I can check the TV thing off my list though!
