You might check places such as Home Depot and even Wal-Mart as they sometimes sell them as novelty plants. Also try Ebay. I've seen the seeds listed on ebay in the past. If you still can't find them consider checking with a local nursery or garden center, they might have them or even offer to order one for you.

I never in a million years would have thought there might be a local specialty bead store! I will have to look that up. :) You have me thinking Writersblock. Maybe in the playroom, where I have sheers in three quarters of the window, beads would be really busy. I mean I know they will be busy, but maybe there is a better answer. I found some beautiful crystal sun catchers on etsy based on your link. Maybe I can put one in each window in the middle. This person is local to me I also found this wind chime and I think if it was spread out, instead of round, it would be lovely in my kitchen window....

Lowe's and HD websites blow goats. Lowes is utterly worthless, while HD is just mostly worthless... I do buy from locally owned lumber yards when I can, I'm just trying to learn a little before I approach them. Thanks for the help: this does help a LOT. The 36 inch stuff at HD is solid hardwood, available in cherry, oak, hickory or maple. Not sure if it's a sheet good or not, but would hate to have to deal with those short pieces. Anyone know if the HD sheets are available in oak? This whole project started as a means to disguise the long, narrow nature of the space, so I'd probably do the beadboard with 'beams' to hide the joints and create rectangles running opposite the long axis. 4x8 sheets would give me the most choice as to how large to do the rectangles, and would save some serious installation time.
