Cab Quotes & show me Beaded Inset vs Inset
Comments (82)Fishes: Yes, we do have an eating area. It is narrow, only about 10' wide so we are placing our table with chairs there with a banquette against the wall. There is also a basment door and the door to the back staircase in that area so wall space is limited. These old houses are charming but can be complicated. I am toying with adding glass front display cabinets above the banquette so that I can get my display somewhere. I have a large collection of blue and white transferware that is displayed on shelves in our soon to be gone butler's pantry :(. With the lack of wall cabinets in the L I think having display is tough unless we put it in the sit down eating area of the kitchen. Can't wait until I can get my husband to show me how to post our layout so that people can see what I am trying to explain. I agree that your baking area more than makes up for the lack of wall cabinets. I am going to try to get out to dutchwood next week for a visit and a better idea of all the possible cost and upcharges.Have you gone there yet?...See Moreplease show me your built in refrig cabinets
Comments (7)My fridge is unpaneled as well - the compressor is 8.5" and the cabinets above are 12". I know you were looking for paneled examples, but I wanted to show you what I did - it's three small cabinets and might be enough of a visual break between one long 8"x48" panel and three small cubbies above it. Note: Mine look like they open up, but they actually don't. Aesthetically we thought it looked better this way, but functionally, because I'm short, tip ups that high are difficult for me to use. I can get them open but I can't reach them easily to shut them when they're in the open position. The doors actually open left-right/right-left like normal doors; the pulls are just mounted horizontally for the "look"....See MoreHelp - panel ready DW flush with inset cabs? X-post
Comments (11)Oh My! So sorry for your troubles! Is the angle on the horizontal or vertical plane? I just re-mounted the cabinet panel for my 18" Bosch. The installers mounted it level with the adjacent drawers & doors, but it wouldn't open all the way! I took it off & moved it up, even though that made it stick up about a half inch past flush on the top. Even though it's "off" from the adjacent cabinets now, it covers the space under the granite much better. My point, however, is that the mounting to the dishwasher itself is templated, but almost infinitely variable if you need a horizontal adjustment. You may have to live with non-flush, but I'd pull out a tape measure & screwdriver & see what's causing that angle ?!? (Boy, am I tired of hearing "That's just the way it is. There's nothing we can do!")...See MoreShow me paneled DW/BevDrawer/UndercounterWine integrated w/Inset
Comments (0)Hi there, If you have managed to fully integrate your paneled dishwasher, paneled beverage drawers and under-counter wine cooler (paneled or not) within your inset cabinets, can you please tell me which brands you purchased...and if you have photos, please share? :) We have made a last minute switch to inset cabinetry and of course we've already bought our appliances---aaargh! We realize now that a few of the appliances we purchased with overlay cabinets in mind will no longer integrate flush and fully once a custom cabinetry panel is applied. Specifically, I'm concerned about: * the beverage drawers (we purchased GE monogram ZIDI240BII, 24" wide opening) * the dishwasher (we purchased Bosch 800 series SHV58E13UC, 24" wide opening) * the dual zone wine fridge (we purchased ULine stainless steel/not paneled Beverage Center 1175BEV, 24" wide opening) Thankfully, our appliance store is pretty willing to swap out these appliances. We are budget constrained, so I'm hoping there are some accessible brands that integrate fully with inset panels. Thanks so much for any help!!...See Moredodge59
