Ktichen Cabinets: Dura Supreme VS Cardell VS Kraftsmaid
Comments (3)I am in the process of having my Dura Supreme Alectra (frameless) cabinets installed. They look beautiful, and the quality was as good or better than any cabinet I considered. If you have any specific questions, I'll be happy to answer you....See MoreWellborn Forest vs Dura Supreme
Comments (6)apples to oranges- they should not be in the same comparison-the prices you differences are close to what you should expect (even though all are pocket hole constucted frames etc). If WBF best suits your budget then fine. But if you can even consider affording DS then ... Sounds to me like one of the dealers misread where your at. DS comes in two price groups, and offers both framed and frameless as well as inset. Even the lower priced DS will be a good bit more than WBF DS vs. Kraftmaid- DS has a very nice finish and will have better wood grading, quality control, along with more design flexibility. KM makes a competant cabinet that will last and has a good selection. You may need to have a door or two replaced to get where you want to be, they might be a tad trickier to install. But bottom line they will hold up for a long time- lots of GWbers have em and are happy- that might be said for the others too though. I'm not a fan of Chinese cabinets so not big on JSI- there is a thread on that where you will find some more positive thoughts by others (along with my personal rant) There is another thread on cabinet priorities worth a look too....See MoreDuraSupreme vs Waypoint Cabinets- Help
Comments (1)I would also like to know how these two brands compare. I have almost equal bids for both lines....See MoreDuraSupreme or Brookhaven
Comments (4)Either would be a good choice for the quality and customer service. Some lines are better at some things than others. So, if you are comparing framed and frameless, you're not comparing like for like. Go back and be sure that you are first of all comparing the specs for the same thing. Then, compare the finishes. Some lines do paint really well. Like Plain and Fancy. Some lines do incredible wood finishes. Like Medallion. Then there are the specialty custom touches that one lines offers that another upcharges for, or will only do as a custom quote. You should also strongly consider which Kitchen Designer that you work best with. Who "got" your ideas immediately? Who has been working longer with which line? Who sells more of their respective product? Who works better with your contractor? Who answers your phone call? This is a Bigger Deal than you think. One who sells a lot of product has more leverage with the company rep if things go sideways. A good designer can make a project run smoothly. A bad one can wreck your timeline and sanity. Overall, you will not be disappointed by either. It's may seem overwhelming to choose, but there is no bad choice here at all. You're at the point of picking nits....See Morejakuvall
