luvs... LOL at the Enabler R Us...I wouldn't even have noticed that glass acorn dish (if not for you)! And, the t'cloth in this pic is "kitty-cornered"...whatever the terminology...each point pointed toward a chair...I do like it alot. I'm a "snowman" addict, too...many yrs now...these new TS plates still had K's Merchandise labels on back so I plan to use them for gifts. jaybird...thanks...I like the rustic of the sugar molds...I bought mine in a specialty store so it's probably not old...you may have an original...either way, they're kind of expensive...but I use it usually all yr round (somewhere). I bet you don't need a fireplace often! frou...those Woodfield plates come in other colors, too...will be on the lookout altho I did put a bid on ebay for 6 more plates (no cups) so they started the bid low...we shall see. Yup, the vase goes good with my Autumn Leaf dishes & I thought it would be a good Christmas color, too. dream...SG leaves from "Tenderhearts"...probably about 10 yrs. ago or so...don't see them in their catalog now...so far I've kept from breaking them! punk...that vase with the prairie grass is a "pinkish" color...but blends in with the salmon ...I bought it at an antique store so don't really know if it was old...loved the color & shape & the $$$ was right! LOL! Ahhh, we'll see how the clear glassware Fall decor works out & the darn ol' branches for the urn! Jane,,, still am having fun with it all! (but I know what you mean)! I really like the plate in the picture you posted. What is the plate's diameter? If you could take a picture of a mock up (on the floor or on a table) of your mirror with the plates around it, that would help us visualize how they look together. To me, it would depend on the size of the mirror and the size of the plates and how they relate together. Also, take a picture of the wall space where you are thinking of displaying them. A photo of paper mock ups taped onto the wall space would help in visualizing this, too.

Okay, so it seems vertical is the way to go. I put two of the round papers up again, centering between the two points shown. It may be off a little, depending on the angle. I have found that if I don't center them more between these two points that the plates are not easily viewed from the living area, which looks off to me. Remember, the paper plate that is missing is the one up above, but pretend it's there. It's just too high to place right now without a ladder. But... they now look like they are hung too far left when you look at the entire wall that extends further right down the stairs. The light switch would have to be painted, so it doesn't stand out like a sore thumb, but still the one plate is really close to the white trim piece on the left. Horizontally, I did not line the middle plate up with the trim, as was suggested, so the bottom place is cut off, or bisected, by the railing. The reason I did it this way was because it seems like when viewing from the living area that the top plate should be higher on the wall. I have a lot of height on the other side of the room with the windows, so it just seems like the plates should be placed higher. I may be wrong, and please tell me if you think I am. Opinions now? Am I making this harder than it needs to be?
