There are little differences. The deep drawers in WM have a tall box where the BH are partial height (about 2/3) -- we didn't know that going in or I probably would have changed them to be the same. The interiors of the WM are a finished natural maple and the BH are a white a natural maple look. The finishing of the BH is very good, but WM has a little more hand finishing. If you order a tall pantry pullout, it is 12" in WM and has a different insert than the BH -- which I think is 15". We liked the WM one better. You get a lot more options in WM. We have a custom paint color from WM as well as a stained and glazed (distressed and burnished) finish that wouldn't be available in BH. There are more detailed door styles, ability to chose insets for your doors and drawer fronts, more finishing details -- which means you can run up the bit higher starting price even more. I thought I'd heard that BH was coming out with an inset line last year. They didn't have them when I ordered mine. Both lines offer you choices in framed or frameless styles. Woodmode came with soft close standard. It was an upgrade on BH. Wodmode also has Woodmode nameplates on the hinges rather than Brookhaven -- and more folks will recognize that name. No one would think twice if you didn't have the nameplates on the cabinets at all. ;-) I've been using mine 2 years and cannot say I have noticed any difference in use and function of the two (we have a mix). There are times I wished we had gotten them all in WM, but would the few tiny differences have made a real difference -- I don't think so, and no one else would ever know or think so. The only cabinet I may have an issue with is my trash pullout -- and it's WM. The KD said it was good to have pieces like that in WM because of the lifetime warranty vs the 10 yrs for BH. Either way, I'm good for another 8 years. If you go to the WM website, you can see the general construction details. We saw the pullout differences in a showroom, but never realized there was a drawer box difference until we had them installed. I actually have heavier loads in a couple of BH drawers than most of my WM ones, but there is no problem with them being sturdy enough. My only reason for liking the taller box is that I would have liked it for things like holding dishtowels stacked a little taller. They haven't exactly been falling over on me, so it really hasn't been a problem. I said I had a mix -- I'll explain that better. We did one wall of talls (fridge, pantry and utility) in the custom paint color. That had to be Woodmode. Our island and hutch are also WM because while looking at a BH finish, our showroom installed a new display in Tuscan Sunset cherry. I loved it and we went with that in the knotty cherry. My perimeter cabinets are Brookhaven Nordic White. If I remember correctly,the price difference to do those 2 walls (about 13 linear feet of cabinets stacked to 10 ft ceilings) on WM was $7-8,000 at the time. Our KD said that in a stained finish, she might go for it, but she said there was one extra step of hand finishing in the WM that you probably wouldn't notice in a painted finish. I think you'll be happy with either. Get WM if they have details or finishes you need, but BH is a quality cabinet and will work just as well.

All any warrant is is a measure of the confidence of the manufacturer has in their products. Hardly anyone ever receives satisfaction from a flooring warranty, or a furniture warranty either, but the fact that a manufacturer is willing to stand behind their products for that long is a testament to how confident they are that they have a good product. You have to balance that out with the actual longevity of the company so far. If Kraftmaid offers you a lifetime warranty, you can bet that they will be in business 15 years from now to fulfill that warranty. If JoeDon's Cabinet Shop has only been in business 3 years, then you've got far less chance of receiving any warranty service 3 years from now, much less 15 years from now. Even though JoeDon may have a beautiful product, statistically, Kraftmaid is a better bet. However, you may pay for for that surety with Kraftmaid. And, the only things that are covered by a warranty are manufacturer's defects. Most of those will be apparent in the first 6 months of usage, not years down the road. And the reason that you have issues down the road is usually due to normal wear and tear or abuse, not a manufacturer's defect. An example would be a corner base cabinet with the 2 hinged doors. If you aren't careful closing the door, you can scratch the adjacent door on the handle side. And if you lean on the door a bit while you are trying to find something in the interior and over time the hinges start to come lose, that's abuse in both cases and wouldn't fall under any warranty coverage.

These chairs are from Bermex. They're not the same as the chairs that you posted, but they are very good quality. FYI, you can change the style of the leg as well as the wood finish and fabric. I know, I don't think either of the CafePress designs are as nice as your old ones. I still think something similar must be out there, somewhere... I think the Mimbres collection at the Western NM University in Silver City is the largest one in existence. On our last visit, they told us they rotate different pieces through the display routinely (too many items to display all at once.) It's just fabulous, so if you get back out this way, maybe pencil that in! I had to get comfy with bats in my last home, because they lived in the attic of our old detached rock garage. That building also housed our washer and dryer. I will admit there were a few evenings I did a U-turn with the laundry basket, when I saw a bat flitting around the light bulb over the washer. I don't mind them, but don't really want them flying around my head! But they never gave me any trouble. Interesting little critters.
