There's no such thing as too much love...

I have been reading a lot of older posts, kind of getting a feel for this forum. Wow. It feels downright icky.

It seems to me that a lot of bioparents, okay MOMS, basically want their children to have stepmoms who are neither too mothering, nor too cold. This means stepmoms (and biodads) are walking on eggshells, never knowing how their behavior will be perceived by the biomoms.Any and all action or lack of action is perceived as deliberate, spiteful, possessive, mean, or worse!

There is no such thing as too much love! If a child can have two full sets of grandparents who love them as equally as possible, how is it that they cannot have two sets of parents that do the same, given a sufficient period of time and effort? Love is an action!

Adoptive parents love their kids. No one in polite society would ever say they are not the child's parent/cannot love them simply because they adopted them! As a matter of fact, many people claim they might love them more, because they CHOSE to be their parents!

A man or woman who rarely sees their children, nor tries to support them, is much less a dad or mom than a stepparent who feeds, bathes, clothes and shelters those same children.

If you have three kids, does the oldest love the second one more than the third one does because he was there "first?" Does each child get a lesser degree of your time, money or love, based on their status as first, second, third? Why do "second families" ( I HATE that term) get such contempt from biomoms? In the case of TOW/SM, I can understand some of that, but that can't always be the excuse.

If you used in vitro, with both a sperm and egg donor, would you love that child less if you miraculously conceived a subsequent biochild?

Shame on all of the "adults" whose pitiful little egos are bruised when someone else dares to care for "their" child!Or says "my" child instead of embarrassing their "step" child.

I don't think you care at all about the stepmoms loving your kids. It's really all about your evil Ex, and you wanting him to be as miserable as possible, because...

MISERY LOVES COMPANY!

If the shoe fits...
