the best time split

Hi Everyone,

I'm currently in relationship with a man and his two kids. Daughter-4 and son-2. They are great! All three of them! And things with said man are getting more and more serious and we're actually talking marriage! Woo-hoo! Despite all the problems and issues folks in these types of forums seem to have, I'm committed to making it the best possible situation. Nothing's ever perfect so we might as well make the best of it!

Anyway, my question to all of you wiser and more experienced steps is...what do you feel is the best way to split time with the kids? My BF and I aren't interested in trying to reinvent the wheel or anything, but he wants more time with his kids. In my opinion the EOW thing is a joke. That's not enough time with kids this young to develop a healthy relationship. So, we've committed to living in the same general area as bio-mom so there's not school-zone issues, and I'm thinking splitting weeks but maybe wed-wed so each parent has full weekends with the kids, they can just get on the bus and mom's and off at dad's and have two homes, two everything, so they're not the stress of constantly packing up stuff. Make the transition easier and all that jazz.

So if people out there have some input it would be greatly appreciated. By the time we're in the position to do all of this the kids would be about 3&5 but we'd like them to get used to the new custody split before they're older and everything is more traumatizing.

So what does everyone think?!?
