Please help me decide on white cabinets

We are building a house through a neighborhood builder.
I really want a white or cream kitchen.
We have the 3 options (all are upgrades as we get stained maple standard) None of these options are thermofoil. We have no choice to switch cabinet makers but this company does many of the builders around here and their quality if fine. The company is Kent Moore and the cabinets are the classic series in Snow Drift color.
1. to get the factory finish in white on MDF door
2.or a paint on site wood cabinet (paint grade wood) in any color we want
3. or we can get stained maple and have them painted on our own after close
The cost is about the same for all 3 options.
The factory finish looks a little plastic to me but may be more durable. The paint on site may not be as perfect but we would have extra paint and could touch up as needed and we could get the exact color we want. However they use Qual paint and I'm not sure the quality is as good as I would get if I did them later.
If we paint them after close we would have to deal with renovations (yuck) and pay out of pocket rather than roll in the cost.
I would love to hear your thoughts. Would one choice be more washable than the others?
Also what is your opinion on white kitchens in general?
If you have or have had one was it hard to keep clean?
