Post backsplash photos if you have bianco antico counters!
Comments (9)Beautiful Kitchen photos! Our bianco antico countertops and 6 inch backsplash are being installed next Wed/Thurs!!!! I'm going to paint the cabinets white (not sure about the island yet-maybe black/chocolate brown). I love the browns in the granite...I want the gorgeous granite to be the focus of the kitchen and the backsplash to be an accent...so since we only have about 12" to tile (and a space above the built-in desk) I am thinking of using a tile by American Olean/Urban Canvas in the Matte Nutmeg 2X4 with the Ellipse Accent 1/2 X 8 1/2 in French Mocha. Click on this to see the tile http://americanolean.com/series.cfm?series=144&c=49 My first thought was that we would use white subway tile, but the brilliant white is so close to the antico bianco that the granite looks dingy. ...I will make my final decision after the granite is in...oh, so many decisions! So much work to do! So little time! I may be back on here with all my pictures to ask your opinion! Good luck with your decision! Comments (12)KA - How did your trip to the granite yard go? Did you find your slab? I agree that Delicatus and BA are cousins, if not siblings. Love the light color and the sparkles in both. Bee - I could look at pics of your kitchen and new backsplash all day long and never be bored. I do like the stingray a lot and was wondering if there might be a color that would look good with BA, as you and DonnaKay both went white and redroze is pretty close to white with her Ann Sacks tile. I need to get a variety of samples, but some of my early ideas will clearly not go with the BA (which I totally love by the way -- it looks fabulous with the cherry. It's far and away the home-run feature so far). Anyway, I'll try to get a sample of the stingray. My paint is silver sage and I think it would go with that too....See Morebacksplash for bianco antico w/white cabs...dark or light?
Comments (9)It's beautiful!!!! Check out this tile, it was actually one of our favorites until I decided to go the white route. Mandala Tile, Sinu Collection, Color: Stingray. You will not believe how well this works with this granite because it is not a flat color. Seriously, go find it and take a sample of the granite with you, or bring home a piece. Click on this link, then on "products", then "sinu", then any of the tabs that are below, the colors, the field tile, etc. (sorry, I can't link directly to it) Here is a picture from my collection: Here is a link that might be useful: mandala tile...See MoreBianco antico - accent color chosen (I think!)
Comments (12)Love your fabrics. I recovered my dining chairs with a fun circle pattern too. I found a great fabric protectant that I used on them and on the upholstered chairs in my kitchen sitting area. Already got to test how well it released a red stain from one of the upholstered chairs. It makes the fabric water repellant to which is great for liquid spills. If you want to go with those fabrics maybe you could use the product I used. I posted some info previously about this on 2littlefishies post about her banquet You could search for it if you want Here is a link that might be useful: Fabric guard...See Morewillis13
