In a situation like this it is imperative that we know what zone you are in. If you are in Z4, the possiblility is that they couldn't have survived the cold. Other than that, I don't know. We had a broody hen in May of last year. After several hatched, several died and I think it was because she had to take care of the new babies and stopped sitting on the other eggs.

There is a common term "squirrely" and a few years ago I learned where it comes from. This spring also. I have a large Grecian urn as a feature in my new garden under a Black Walnut tree. I watched a squirrely squirrel jump from the urn to my Krossa Regal and back over and over again until my hosta was flattened. It was enjoying itself until I unleashed my German Shorthaired Pointer on it. They love bombing my things with walnuts, but I have never seen them eat a hosta. What they do is when they smell recently disturbed dirt they dig looking for burried nuts so they might uproot newly planted hostas. I wonder if some pressed garlic will discourage this? Les

We had an unfinished full basement with the washroom on the main floor. Never worried at all about foundations which were cement blocks. No ceilings to crack so I won't comment there. Did have leaks and water all over the floor several times, and that would be an issue for you. As far as the structure, when we moved into a new one story home with the wash room over a crawl space I was worried about the reputation of front loaders for shaking badly unless on solid concrete. I reinforced a part of the washroom floor by screwing a 3X5 piece of 3/4 inch plywood to the old floor in the corner where the washer and dryer were. Then I put in a Hardyboard cement board (1/4 ") on top. Finally we put in a new tile floor using thinset and epoxy grout. No problems now with our Samsung 337. Of course it has anti vibration control.

But once I saw that he was having conversations with one of my friends, OF COURSE I AM GOING TO LOOK FURTHER INTO IT!!! I bought him the computer! Then fixed it up for him!! HE ALSO has access to my computer and information as well!!! I wouldn't blame him if he wanted to look into my archives!!! If I'm not doing anything wrong, then who cares!!! It should have been the same for him!! I TRUSTED him!!! With all of my heart!! Oh and by the way, if you have the hard drive, you have the information!! I don't think you've told the whole story here, but I can't blame him for being upset at what you did. I certainly would be too if I found my wife installing software on my computer for surreptiously reading my private correspondence, even if I was completely innocent. (I don't understand what the point of trashing the computer but saving the hard drive is, though.) That said, this isn't about you being lazy in bed or anywhere else. This is about a breakdown in trust, and lack of responsive listening. Something had to have led up to this.
