OMG Sandy, Just read this post and you talked about thrush. That is a nasty, nasty word in my book. I supposedly have asthma and am on the inhaler Advair. After too many, too many bouts with thrush I went cold turkey off of Advair. I got thrush back in February. It got so bad it went to my throat and tonsils. Even my gums were bleeding. I couldn't even drink tea I was in so much agony. I lost 5# because I couldn't eat. I still had thrush in May after a month of being on Diflucam to take it away. I could eat but it still hurt, and forget about taste. I lived on applesauce, jello and pudding. On Father's Day this year I thought I had a small stoke. It felt like someone had stabbed me in the left side of my head with a sharp pencil, then my whole left side went numb, even my tongue. The MRI showed I had a slight brain aneurysm that had healed itself. That was it. I decided the Lord gave me a second chance at life and I wasn't going to abuse it. I am now on a strict low-sodium diet. I have lost 30#. It seems like the pounds are just melting away. If it ain't natural it ain't going in my body. I gave up diet pop, and anything with splenda, neutrasweet or aspartame in it. I have been told I have had asthma and allergies my whole life, and I can't believe the difference. I haven't used an inhaler since February and don't have a problem breathing. I haven't had an asthma attack (thank God) and this is the first year I haven't sneezed my head off during allergy season. I am up to 1.60 miles on the manual treadmill and can bench press 50# on the Bowflex. I don't care what my allergist tells me, I refuse to put anymore steroids into my body. That's what caused the thrush in my mouth and throat, steroids in the Advair inhaler. I feel like I have been reborn. Jenny

Oh, no position, really; top-dressing is just another expense right now (and I'd rather get a plant with that cash), and it's something I'd probably have to order online, knowing how things go. It's also nice not to have it sitting atop the soil during a quick change of pots, if I'd like to easily separate it from the soil and not have it all come out of the pot and end up in a big combined mound. Your variegated G. is in quite the cool pot. It's a nice, subtle variegation. I would almost pick an obscure texture over it, though...hard to choose! I certainly don't dislike when G.s grow up and twist and develop leaves going the other direction, but gotta say, too, I almost wish they'd all stick to the fan shape. Pup given away was certainly pretty! Cute, plump leaves. And if Caramella didn't later kick those shoes on the floor, good for her; ours here would most definitely.

well, what I've got now, are little bitty pierced fingers..lol with the new glass I got, I sat down to be nipping away.. some cut nice, some shattered, some embedded itself in my fingers... some I stepped on...bare feet.. I just gotta get used to the idea that this stuff IS NOT nice, when it's being broken. I was so used to a nice vacuumed room and didn't remember that shards don't necessarily stay flat on the floor, when they shoot off in directions, unbecoming of a glass piece. guess it comes with the territory! and...........when nipping glass, I think I got a much better take, on just how much ten pounds is, at a time... and I have over 100 pounds to work with...omg! I'm staying so far away from ebay!!! ;(*_*);

You know, It did survive after all that!..lol It's out back right up against my house in full sun that has yet to come in.. I forgot about what that poor tree went through..I pulled it in last night because temps were dropping it no the 20's, so perfect timing to take pics.. By the way, my Dad thought I was using that gallon bottle as a water bottle..He did;t even smell the vinegar as he was pouring it.lol I sure did when I got home and I didn't realize he did that until it started to just crash! Let me go and take pics, I'll be right back. Ok, here it is...The leaves did come back after I cut all the daed branches off...They came back small and some now bigger, the lower part, but I have had this one in as much sun as possible to get it back to health fast since then fertilizing the heck out of it. It was sitting at work in ALL DAY sun all winter last year, and then I took it home and stuck it in the most sunniest spot here at my house..It is still playing catch up after all this time since it still has yet to produce flowers and fruit, but it's alive..That's all that matter for now!! Thanks for asking everyone..Wow Notice the higher leaves smaller and tighter together? That a is what FULL sun all winter until now will do..The lower branches leaves are bigger because they got less sunshine... The huge chunk of branches I had to cut off..(
