Sounds like you are just like me - company coming this next weekend and what am I doing instead of changing beds and cleaning bathroom but play w/my toys. I absolutely LOVE the color combination on the checks and agree w/you on the pebbles - great combo there too. When I first saw the checks, I was still mentally in P.V., and thought you were going to slump a ruffled edge around the table, then came back to my senses. WONDERFUL idea on the border. W/be prettier than black/white. I'm emailing you thru the forum page for a pic of the mannequin.

Love both of these. Yeh, black and white would be much more boring. I'm crazy about the PVC pipe fountain idea. Do you mind if I use some version of that? The middle of my flower bed is just crying out for a tall striking structure and I already have outlets setting there. Did you paint the PVC or did I miss that part of the thread (if I did, I apologize and just tell me where to go, hopefully not really.....)

The pvc pipe came that color. I just used some sand paper to take the writing off the pipe and also to scruff it up to help the glass globs stick better.

Of course it is fine to run with the PVC idea. I saw some great fountains done several years ago. Where I got the idea. Mine needs to be simple quick right now. I can always do a second one later.

I will share how I plan to do the water part later. Right nowI MUST get ready for my dogs coming in for their grooming and also company coming.

I like the checks a LOT! In fact I am sitting here looking across the room at a little table I plan to mosaic later on, thinking "hmmmmmmmm"! I'm going to try to find a link to a fountain pic(s) that is awesome. Wouldn't it be funny if it's your stuff? :) I'll see if I can find it...

Very cool I do like the colors and the mosaic fountain...you know it only shows how much you are one of "US" when you have two projects (or more) started at once!!!

Your link is the same place I got my idea from. Course mine is not going to be so wonderful as her's is. I wanted to just do something really simple. I have a second fountain and will get more pipe and do another one for it later on when I feel like getting tedious.I just love what she did. Hoping to get back to work on mine soon as our company leaves.I am so glad you put up the link. I had it on my old computer and lost it.

The glass checks are still just sitting on my dresser in the office. The more I look at them sort of uneven the more I am liking the look. Weird I know. I do not think I ewill make myself crazy trying to get each square perfect. Can't wait to work on that too. I need some more purple glass so will have to finish the fountain first and wait for a trip to town.
