brickton: the fixtures are not available. yes, you can add them to your cart and pay for them too ...but they'll just cancel the order. i phoned all the online sites rather than spend the day getting all my orders cancelled. thanks for checking back! anyway, as it turns out i DID manage to purchase two fixtures that i really like much better for the space! i originally selected this particular chandy for our dining room and while i really was liking it, i just wasn't in love with it in the space. i always envisioned dining room chandies (there will be two) dressed with gorgeous flowers and greenery for holiday gatherings. sort of like hanging arrangements ...and so these fixtures didn't work. after spending the entire day trying to find similar chandies i realize they'd be TOO similar to the dining room selections! ...it's hard to understand my rambling, i know. anyway, here are the dining room chandies, from circa lighting. i can't wait to have the florist over to dress these!: and matching wall sconces: see? the lines are too similar to the chandies i was hunting down. THIS is the chandy i was originally considering for the dining room. it comes in a much larger size (50" W x 48" H") so it's perfect for the great room. i bought two of these today, the larger and a smaller: i'm REALLY happy with the way it all turned out. thank you for your help!

I was ADAMANT that I did not want green. I just don't care for the color at all. I told Chris at Dorado that I would be unhappy if my counters were green. That is why he hand picked my slabs. He says there is a tiny bit of green in a few of the veins but that it will darken to black with age. If I zoom in to 100% on the slab pictures, I can barely see any green at all. I'm not worried in the slightest. We went to every stone yard in Nashville. None of them had anything we liked. They all tried to push Ice Flower on us (ICK!). The really frustrating thing is, if you call and ask if they have soapstone, they all say yes and when you get there they might have ONE slab. We learned that would be the case pretty much anywhere in this neck of the woods. We even asked OHM if they could get additional slabs of the ONE they had and they told us no. Having someone willing to hand pick slabs for us was GREAT. I cannot wait to have my counters :)

margie b has a mgs in her kitchen. No idea who is selling them now but when I looked at one a few years back they were not widely distributed and there was 0 discount that I could find apart from the usual 10% for architects and KDs. They are excellent quality faucets, however, and gorgeous. Finding a better price somewhere likely requires one of those very tedious Google searches where you click on every single listing for pages and pages.
