I've done it. The only picture I have was taken with my old cell (1.3mp) so it's poor quality. Not to mention I had hung this macrame thingie for some reason or other. I have no clue. LOL. So this is the picture for what it's worth....

personally, I think there is way too much happening: shapes , levels, textures, colors. can it be simplified. to me arched windows have a grandeur that should be permitted to shine through.

Not in my house they don't have a grandeur. LOL. And if you read I took the triangle thinkie off. Didn't like it. Looks much better with the trim on the window up, which is squared off like this...

I *love* your trim! But what's on top? Some sort of "rot iron" swag hangers LOL? Or bar clamps? Looks like my house except I use blue tape to hold up my trim before I get it nailed up (all window casings except in the kids' rooms are biscuit joined and glued). You have *much* nicer trim though, not builder's grade pine.

Those are clamps. And thanks for the complement. Hubby and I came up with the "style" ourselves. A mix of what we both liked. It's clear pine. Our kitchen cabs are Maple in that same wood tone. And I think your wood work is just as wonderful. Our home is a Queen Anne style Victorian Revival, so it called for something like this.
If I would have thought about it, I would have said we liked the towel there so much we decided not to go to the expense of towel rods. Hee Hee! Lifes too short not to have fun, isn't it?
