I love them all!!!!!!!!!! Wow, those are so cool!! That 1st one looks like it has small lines coming out of the eyezone! I've never seen anything like that before! I love the applique look & often wish it had a defined border around them. In your case it is framed! The 2nd one's form is outstanding! I don't think I've seen a funky eyezoned dl with that form before, they are usually round. I love the ruffles & the picotee edge. I love it when the sepals carry the pattern from the petals & in your 3rd seedling they are huge! Very, very nice. Congrats!

Laura, I have tried the method you described, and LOVE it! (Read my notes.href>) I have done some more needleturn, but I am waaay faster when everything is already held down for me. The key to happiness is to find a glue stick that does not leave a sticky, thready mess. The one that worked for me is "Scotch Purple Glue Stick." Like you described, it has a waxy consistency, perfect for our task. I did note a musty smell, but it's not strong. I will look for the 3M brand glue stick as well. Oh, and I did find it helpful to use a needle or wooden toothpick to turn the outer corners. Place your piece freezer paper side down on a table top. Hold down with one finger, and use the toothpick to press down the edges. You can make ruffles, which results in a smoother edge. Or else you can make one fold at the tip. Fold right at the edge of the freezer paper. Add more glue. Make more folds, adding a tiny dap of glue stick where needed. This worked better for sharp points. On really tight outer corners, it helped to make a few small notches that went to within a couple of threads of the edge of the freezer paper. Inner curves you have to clip. Make your clips perpendicular to the edge of the freezer paper, to within a thread of the edge. Of course, take a bigger bite into the fabric when hand sewing these areas to your background.

The tree ones with the hearts is some from some fabric a friend sent me,,I buy very little fabric,as there is no where close that I can get any.Most of it is gifted to me by wonderful other quilters who share. I appreciate them so much for helping. When I do buy I watch for sales online. Almost all of my items are for sale.

s-kit, I am not sure I understand what your friend had, I am guessing it was a free standing little house of felt.
