susie -- I believe systema is a whole series of faucets which are different. I'm seeing 7 plus a pot filler on their website. The spouts with the prerinse faucets were waaay too long for me (something like 12" if I'm not mistaken). I went with the 202.000 described as "Deck-mounted, single-hole, side-lever mixer with high-arc swivel spout, pull-down aerator/spray and extension pillar 4". It's 18" tall with a curved neck. It's just a tall faucet with a super functioning pull-down with a button that switches it to a spray. Do you have a friend who has a pull-down that you might be able to try? Will that sprayer stay on spray or do you have to keep the handle pressed down? I always had a side spray before but now that I have a pull-down I don't ever want to be without one! I defrosted some shrimp tonight and it was so nice to be able to pull the faucet head down close to my colander, set it to spray and walk away for a few minutes. The pull-down is nicely balanced so that it stays at whatever height I put it. It's so much more convenient to quickly pull it down and be able to reach every corner of my sink when I wash it. Mine goes back up into place very easily and securely, no twisting or fiddling with it required.

i'm typing with a broken wrist and lots of drugs...i realized that i'd forgotten to mention which systema i was talking about. :) i've used commercial rinsers many times and was comfortable with that flow after a while, but used to blast the kitchen on occasion :) the systema we're talking about is not as strong as those, but much better than a normal flow faucet when you want some umph. the trigger isn't hairline, so after a couple of bursts you'll get used to it. i particularly loved this faucet because unlike a lot of in home rinse faucets, it also has the "normal faucet" on the same line. my friend shows off that silly faucet before she talks about the balance of her wonderful kitchen, so i know it wasn't just me who liked it...we played with it after drinks lol that got a bit splashy!

I currently have a faucet that is not even close to the drain since my drain is in the rear corner of the sink and the faucet is at the center. I have no splashing or draining issues. I have moderately deep, ie 8 inch, sink. I do not have a garbage disposal. So the issue of directing all the water into the disposal to make it function at its best does not apply in my situation. I will not get a disposal since we compost everything. However, my current faucet has a short reach about 6 inch or so. I find that the water is too far from me when I am working. I would like more of reach so the water stream is closer, so I don't have to reach out with my arms to be under the stream of water. I have another sink/faucet combo which has nearly 9 inch reach or so, and I find that more comfortable. There is alot of ergonomics in how you use the faucet. I tend to do a lot of rinsing while the faucet is in the locked spray mode in its fixed position. Many of the faucets do not come with locking spray and only has hold down spray, which is not how I work. I would not want to rinse my LeCrueset pot with one hand holding the sprayer and the other holding the pot. Most of Hansgrohe axor models are hold down sprayers which makes it a noncontender for me. I am not sure about that particular model. Some faucets tilt the water stream slightly forward and others go straight down. This can impact the amount of splashing. Some faucets have wider radius of stream and others very narrow radius of stream. You need to look at how you work and what fits your work pattern best.
