Should we move DS to full bed?

He has a twin bed with drawers under, but also a 2 over 2 antique dresser. Bookcase headboard and 3 waist-high bookcases (about 20 lf of shelf space) crammed, plus a desk in an alcove, plus a mushroom chair he rarely uses, plus a storage bench that's only used to store his comforter.

Should we get him a full bed? Get rid of the dresser and get drawers for underneath? It's a pretty small room with closet, door, and desk - the bed, dresser, and bookcases are crammed in app. 8x11 space. I like to leave about 3ft path from door (closet to right) to the back wall to walk/get to the desk.

Bookcases are in shallow alcove to left of door, left of bed as you're standing at foot.

Should we get rid of the desk and put the dresser there instead? He doesn't use the desk except to pile things on...

Or should we keep the twin to give him more floor space? Though not much of it is visible at any given time (if I have to tell him one more time to pick up so I can *walk* in, forget *vaccuuming*...)

I was even thinking a futon, or if we could afford it, a Murphy bed?
