tapeworm, my only suggestion is to persist with with your project. The fact that the product does not exist conveys to me that it must be impossible to extract with existing methods. Even if the process would have been frightfully expensive and/or complicated, it would have been discovered, documented and filed away somewhere. You may be at the same mental intersection where Friedrich Wohler was in 1828 before he synthesized urea. Thereafter, ordinary folk, scientists and fertilizer companies would use the term "organic" conveniently; to suit their own purpose.

My principal intention is to re-use some essential oils that I've used via hot water (I'll store the water in glass until use on plants) as a sort of vitamin/tonic with watering to see if it helps the plants grow better/stronger/etc. While I've got a few books on oils, in relation to gardening, they only mention oil use as an insect/fungus deterrent, and none mention making your own oils. zackey- I've got a book specifically about use of oils in healthcare. Written with extensive notes and citing, it's by far the most professional/scientific text I've found on the subject. A bit pricy new, it's by Len and Shirley Price- might be worth a look for more complete/effective natural treatment to your pain.

I just noted that I wrote I wasnt putting a essential oil recipe in there for cleaning wooden floors, but there is one in there. Note though, that I havent ever used that recipe as I dont have wood floors, so I cant 100% say it wont take the shine off. If you want to try it, just do a test spot in a hidden area. Yes, using essential oil and white vinegar (1/4 cup) instead of fabric softener is an excellent alternative to commercial softeners. Many recommend you use an oil that has cleaning properties such as citrus: lemon, orange, bergamot etc. but if all you are looking for is a nice fragrance that you enjoy any essential oil will work. The amount of oil can vary on load size and some oils are more potent than others. Experiment until you get the desired scent strength, begin at around 5-10 drops. Many drug stores carry essential oils in their cosmetic department. I work at Longs (now CVS) and we carry the Aura Cacia brand.
