Blinds-wood or faux? which brand? which retailer? self-install?

I have five 32W x 7`L windows in my kitchen and am planning to do 2" wood blinds. I want to do a painted color, not wood stain. Got quotes as follows:

--$1,200 from local store selling Hunter Douglas (Country Woods line) - includes measuring and installation

--$1,000 from another local blind store but using Prestige brand, incl. measuring and installation

--$776 from Blinds to Go store, Lancaster line, plus $40 for measuring and $75 for installation

--$635 ($127 each on sale - free shipping) from Blindsaver.com on Hunter Douglas (Country Woods line), no measuring or installation.

--Any downside to wood vs. faux, other than price? Will wood warp?

--How important is it for an "expert" to measure and install? Most of the blind stores won't guarantee fit unless they measure and install.

--Any experience with Prestige or Blinds to Go.

--Any other recommendations?

Thanks for any advice you can offer!
