I know that Farmerdilla is a knowledgeable gardener. And I have learned and continue to learn from his posts. DTM from transplanting is too vague, to me. You can have a plant/veggie in 6-pack or 4" pot that could be from two weeks to two months old. Of course this is not our fault that some growers convention do not make sense. But seed companies have a better description: For example for watermelons they say you will (most probably) have a ripen fruit in "x" days from sowing or in "Y" days from flowering. But again, it all depends on a lot of growing conditions and the vegetable in question. cyrus

Well, maybe there is hope. I thought the responses would run along the lines of "Are you out of your mind?" to "Get it to the thrift store asap!" I've always avoided used items that had been around animals and smoke, but as I said, the Baker label was a strong lure. I put the chair in the attic for now as the fabric is hopeless; photos don't show how worn/torn/stained it really is. Too bad, it's vintage scalamandre silk. I will keep my eyes open for another similar stripe; maybe do the sides and back in something else? Thanks for your responses. I guess you could label it as "Yellow Earth (Selfed)" to indicate that they're seedlings of the plant. That's what I've done with Amaryllis when I pollinate the flower using its own pollen. I'm assuming that's the case here too, if it wasn't crossed with anything else to get the seeds?

Biggest pieces of advice I can give you is: *Wait 24 hours after shipping to look up where your package is (unless you are using Thai track and trace; in any event, it can take USPS up to 24 hours to start tracking the package- I can usually track my package through USPS around 10 hours after it has been shipped). *Soak plants for 20 minutes in warm water when they arrive. They may be quite dry. *Report any issues with plants (along with photos) within 24 hours of receiving them. You can choose to be refunded (but not for shipping) or have the affected plants replaced and sent to you in your next order or in a replacement order. You will have to pay shipping for any replacement plants. Please keep in mind that you are not refunded the shipping cost because it was already paid for and used, unless the damage was caused by the carrier. If that is the case (smashed, water damaged box, things like that), you should let AHHoya know so they can put in a claim to their Postal Service. An FYI, their English is actually pretty well-developed for being Native Thai. English is a difficult language to learn for any Asian ethnicity (same reversed: most Asian languages and all of the different levels (Formal, informal, etc.) are quite difficult for an English speaking person to learn).
