Just an fyi, we have two black silgranite sinks by Blanco that were installed in 2012. Granted, they are BLACK, so staining has not been an issue, we do not wipe them down after every use, and I am very happy with them. I would buy them again. But having read this thread and Ashley's comments, I would not buy a lighter colored version. These sinks are pretty inexpensive compared to the cost of the kitchen as well as some other sinks. At this point in your journey @Kendal Jean, why not just replace it and move on to enjoy your new kitchen? Once you remove the sink you won't have the daily reminder of your horrible experience dealing with Blanco.

My husband installed our fridge (with icemaker) two days ago in our newly built home (due to move in there in a few days). Builder came to install mirrors and heard hissing as he opened the interior garage door. Saw water on the hardwood. The plastic tubing from the icemaker was off and water was spraying. Will need new carpeting (incl padding, subfloor, hardwood, drywall, lower cabinets, stair railing and newels, door frames to the pantry and laundry room, and probably new tile in the laundry room. Brand new GE fridge delivered the day before it was installed. Husband has installed fridges before without issue, not sure if they had this type of tubing. A friend found this online: We bought a Samsung fridge about a year ago. The model number is RB215LABP. The problem we have been having is that the tube in the back where you hook it up to the water for the ice machine, keeps blowing off the back. We don't know how to fix it. Several times, I have come home from work to find an inch of water all over my floors because it's blown off and been that way all day. My husband has reattached it, turned the water pressure on the valve down and still, it continues to blow off the back. The hose seems to be the right size...I don't know what the problem is. Please help. Tags Refrigerators , Samsung , Appliances 2 Answers from these members: Manage My Life The reason the tubing blows out of the inlet tube in the cabinet is the inlet tube is freezing up and then the pressure builds up and blows the tubing out of the inlet. Usually the thing that causes the tube to freeze is the water valve seeps water when it should be turned off. This slow trickle of water freezes as it enters the freezer and stops up the inlet tube. Not sure what caused this (yet). Hopefully the insurance through our mortgage bank will take care of it asap. The carpet is thoroughly soaked. Water ran down the walls of the open stairway to the basement, wood in basement ceiling dripping water, basement flooded, etc. Merry Christmas! :(

Connie Kempf; my similar issues with store, salesman, inspectors, and even manufacturer and the regional representative!!! They don't understand the engineering aspects of vinyl flooring! In my case the problem involved temperature in a HVAC control room with sunlight on the flooring. They had NO clue even though I engineered a successful solution even though they said it could not be done with vinyl!! They don't understand the specific application and the engineering aspects of vinyl flooring! You can see my nightmare earlier in this post dealing with the various industry personnel. The inspectors have a conflict of interest and are not trained well enough either. As I mentioned you can find my rant on the vinyl flooring industry earlier in this thread. Please note, before buying one should read ALL marketing materials and WARRANTY info which is where ALL their dirty secrets are contradicted and are hidden in the fine print!!! Be forewarned you probably knew more then anyone of them combined. I believe most manufacturers do not recommend rolling loads (esp wheel chairs) and the problems are only compounded if individual is over weight and sub-floor has defects. It's my opinion, the salesman should have stopped the sale when he heard you would be running a wheel chair (esp a heavy power chair) across the floor. From my experience none of the staff to which I was exposed had any knowledge of proper application and installation of vinyl. Even in my case the first thing they blamed for flooring failure was on the sub-floor and floor joists. Reality, the sub-floor was within the flooring manufacturer published spec. Obviously since I'm not there I can't comment on your specific floor. Also note, I'm a self proclaimed vinyl installer beginner, with no prior flooring experience! (my only prior training is in electronic and computer science engineering with 45+ years experience solving engineering issues as Staff Engineer, I can now claim I have retrained myself on vinyl). One of my girls was due today but came early. Even so, during her teen years, she lived up to the Ides of March warnings. She's lovely now but ... yikes! : )
