More sites to keep you busy.... 1. www.fernlea.com (This was the one I found last year) Has lots of ideas...some with diagrams and/or plant info, some without. I almost missed some of the designs before I realized there was a little "next" button on one section and the garden design section also had about 12 pages of container designs. The "plant recipes" page gives you a lot of pics & diagrams but doesn't tell the size of the pots I don't think. Just look all around... lots of info. 2. www.greatscapesnursery.com About 12 design ideas on here, but just tells you the plants used...no quantity or diagrams. 3. http://www.pallensmith.com/gardenhome/containers.php Lots of good ideas and info on this site. I am getting his book on container garden designs (I think it has 60 designs in it). Then I want that ladies book with 101 designs...and then I want... :) I am addicted to design books. 4. http://www.thenurseryatmountsi.com/containers.htm Shows 10 containers...some list the plants used, others don't. But will give you some ideas anyways. I would like to add that some of the sites I have listed should be more responsible in putting up correct diagrams, especially when they stress their designs are easy for beginners to create masterpieces. For example... on the Proven Winners site in the Spring diagrams: 1. Blue Heaven is shown as a large cement window box type planter - then they show the diagram as a large round circle. 2. Some Kinda Wonderful design lists using 3 Heucheras and 2 New Guinea Impatiens - doesn't say the size container but it is sitting on two bricks...so it can only be a 6-8" pot - rather small for three large perennials and two hefty annuals. Anyways... we should all remember to give correct and complete information. People don't stop and think how much these inaccuracies confuse and scare beginners. okay... off my soapbox now... ;)

Hello chuck , I had a rough start like yours to my seedlings. I corrected the problem by putting a heat system under pots a heating blanket; also, I increased my temp in my somewhat enclosed (plastic) cage for my seedlings. I would say the underside heater was at least 80 and my temp inside my enclosure was 85 to 90. this solved my problem hope it helps ya later chuck keep smiling!!!

Hey you guys. : ) OK a yard is roughly equal to a meter - a little bigger, I think. (I'm from Canada, so I wasn't sure the exact difference, so I googled it.) I could always get 2.5 meters, or so, to be on the safe side. Thanks for the detailed info, francy. I actually didn't realize you made the 2nd, longer, apron and just shortened it. I thought you had made #1. So, that's good to know. Yes, I agree, budster, it would be fantastic if you would make the apron. : ) Accompanied with photos; and a tutorial - lol. ; ) (Totally kidding.) I realize you have lots on the go. A question (one of many), is it 'normal' for those with the sewing bug to, um, accumulate patterns? They weren't as expensive as I thought they would be, and I picked up a few Simplicity patterns. Plus, I got a teeny pattern for a little 'patch' bag. Also, I went into a really great sewing shop, where the people working there were so friendly and helpful. They are also a dealer for the Husquavarna (I'm pretty sure that was it), and Janome. She eagerly showed me some 'feet'; and I bought 2 of them (not very expensive, which was surprising). I have information overload; but one of the feet is called, "Adjustable Zipper Foot - Low Shank". I believe she said it sews over 'humps'. I'll have to ask her again. I'll post of photo of it, and see if you guys know anything about it. OK, I googled 'jean-ama-jig' and it's definitely not similar to that. Hmm, I'll see if the jean-ama-jig is available in any of the stores around here.
