Can I see creamy crackle backsplash pics?

Okay, I know you are probably getting tired of my backsplash indecision, but I know that whatever I put in will be staying for a while and I want to get it right. My original plan was to use a creamy white crackled subway tile as my backsplash with my soapstone and though I have waffled back and forth, I still gravitate to it. It is neutral and classic although could be kind of stark since my lower cabs are dark green but do you think that should be an issue? If any of you happen to have the creamy crackle tile, would you mind posting pics. I am looking at the sonoma stellar subway. My soapstone has large whitish veins and the creamy tile matches the veining. I have tried some other colors( caramel, ecru, gold) but honestly it seems to fight with the soapstone and add another element to an already busy kitchen. Thanks for any and all help!

I am also looking at the sonoma stellar crackle in 2x6. I have found two kitchens that have it. Blakey's and nvdweb. The search function isn't working so great now. Even when I google I can't get into Blakey's pictures, but I do have some in my clippings. Nvdweb is in the finished kitchen blog. Thanks prill...I'm leaning towards only doing tile in area to the left of the casing...then in the window area just doing paint and the casing down to the counter. I guess I'll just have to be more dilligent with cleaning. The Reef was the first tile that spoke to me...I really thought I was going to go for a more solid blue, but reef is so much softer....it allows me to play up the color of the walls more...not that I have a lot of walls...And, I found out that my designer can get it for about 12.50/sf where I was quoted around $15/sf.

@ Padola - I totally think anyone can do this it just takes planning and creativity but even if it doesn't work 100% like it did for us but you end up only doing a handful of cuts rather then the whole job isn't that worth the try? Trust me we are no experts this was my DH's and I second backsplash with the last one being a good 10 years ago...we're no pro's. For DIY'ers tile cutting is a real pain in the butt so like I said if this helps eliminate or even minimize cuts thats a bonus in my eyes. I just wanted to give everyone food for thought..thats all. @ Red Eared - thanks so much. Actually my countertop is a laminate called Butter Rum.

ggjk - my tiler used Polyblend non-sanded grout in antique white. Another GW teaching moment, unfortunately learned after my tile was installed. With hand glazed tiles, sanded grout is recommended with a 3/16" grout line. The larger grout line prevents lippage. Non-sanded grout is for up to 1/8". I can see a little lippage when I have the range hood lights on. Redalley- Encore silver crackle is available in the Bravo line, somewhere in the mid $20 range. The Bravo line is Encore's "in stock, quicker ship" line. The color choices & sizes are limited but Silver is one of them. If you choose a size or color that is not in the Bravo line, it's in the low to mid $30 range.

Here is my tile: Montecito bisque crackle subway by Tilecrest - it was a very reasonable price compared to some others I found.

sis2two I'm so glad you asked this! My husband and I are so stuck on what to do for our backsplash. White subway tile is our favorite but we both agree it would be too stark for our kitchen. We had been toying with the idea of doing something with glass or stone but I keep going back to subway tile :) It's been hard to find photos of subway tiles that aren't plain white so I am glad you asked to see something more creamy with a crackle in a real kitchen because I've been trying to find photos on my own and haven't had much luck.

I love both photos that have been posted so far! Nice kitchens!

I just ordered the sonoma stellar krazy krackle in 2x6. I have two pictures for you that were my inspiration. one has the krazy color and one is creamy which is whiter. I think it is gorgeous tile!

I have Horus Art Tile Tiffany in bisque. The second photo seems to give a pink cast to the tile, but that's just the lighting:

For those of you familiar with the colors of the various crackle tiles, do you know what color in the sonoma tile is a lot like the bisque color I'm seeing. I really like it and its not too white. I really appreciate all of your feedback. And I love all of your kitchens. I don't see a lot of kitchens that have darker cabinets though with the creamy crackle color. If anyone has dark stained or dark painted cabinets with this kind of tile, I would sure love to see pics. Thanks guys!

The color in the sonoma tile that looks more bisque is probably "Krazy Krackle". "Creamy" is a little whiter. Look on the website to check it out.

The only thing I really remember is that it is a Brazilian soapstone. When oiled it is black, otherwise it is a charcoal gray. I would absolutely do it again! I just love it!
