I'm not living the single life anymore, but that doesn't mean I have forgotten the friends I met here. I hope the new year brings you all the happiness that you desire.

Merry Christmas to you Jo...Diane is doing great. She is spending Christmas in Jersey with our family there, She got to see our latest grandchild take her first steps. She will be home to welcome in the new year. Kaycee is expecting my first grandson in May.

Merry Christmas to all. Julia, too have spent my fall vigorously working to recover from the time off. It is still not finished, but I will try to post a couple of photos to show the mess that the back was in. and here is a more recent photo: still not finished but much of it is done...spring will be another work and I am getting very much along in years too. I have cut down and hauled over over a hundred little saplings. mostly oak or Mimosa but a maple or two and one magnolia tree. (courtesy of the birds.) The stumps are all painted with Remedy so they will not return. In Alabama, and I am sure it happens in other southern states as well, weeds, grass, trees, etc will grow very thickly if not managed constantly. My husband can no longer do any yard work other than grass cutting where the land is clear, so I had better stay well this year. Just wanted to share her name…”Lily.“ It was at the top of my list already when I talked to our grandson yesterday. He asked if we’d picked a name and added ”…because I like the name Lily.” Done! It really seems to fit her.🥰 I’ve just been calling her ”Peanut” and today somehow ”Lily Bean” came out of my mouth. Funny how we can tweak pets’ names like that. Our first Cavalier was Buddy, and I’d call him Buddrick McGudrick.🤷‍♀️ chisue, one thing I didn’t realize until after we had Buddy for a few years was the difference between a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a King Charles/English Toy Spaniel. They both have the same four colorings you posted…Blenheim, King Charles, etc. Their facial features differ with English Toys having more of a ”pug” face as shown here on the left, and the Cavaliers on the right. The four color markings…here on Cavaliers.

I am so happy for you, Michael!!! I have a new Grandson now - Sean Alexander Phoenix! LOL He's 3 months old and an absolute delight - sadly, he lives in Virginia and I live in Florida - don't get to see him very often, but via Skype, I get to see him once a week.

We are all doing well. A few deaths of family and friends that we all have to deal with as we get older. Oldest brother passed away this morning. Sucks to start the new year with a funeral but I'm sure there are more out there ahead. Happy New Year to all! Cherish your loved ones while you can. See ya next year.
