We are BORING! That's why we're SINGLE and why THIS FORUM has died! No wonder our lives have shot craps - we can't even converse among ourselves! We all have something in common, but can't keep a conversation going - BORING!!!!

Yep - that's what my boyfriend indicated as we broke up last week. Guess he never figured I just tired of paying for every friggin thing we did from having an ice cream to a weekend at Hard Rock. Whatever.

LOL joulesR4me! We wouldn't be so boring if our FRIENDS weren't so boring! This board needs the likes of Michael, aka tinman2, to keep things stirred up. I guess he must have found a partner who doesn't think he is boring. We need more Michaels in the dating world, don't you agree?

I guess it's time to stir some 'sh@*' - pis# some people off, or SOMETHING - to get some hearts pumping - what ya think?

When I read about all the people on here that are involved with sidewalk trashed plant scooping I've come to the conclusion that we are the normal ones and it's the people that do not trash pick that are different. Or is it they are indifferent? Back a number of years (before trash pickup) when we HAD to bring our own trash to the dump, my wife would accuse me of bringing back more stuff than what I left with. Well yeah!! Now I ride my electric bicycle around the neighborhood and fill my bike basket with tossed goodies. The batteries will take me around 25 miles before running down but I can still pedal back. The silent running bike is great for spotting goodies. If I find something I can't carry on the bike I'll go back and get the pickup truck. I've even found an old abandoned citrus grove over run with pines and oak trees in my bike travels around two or three miles from here and will bring back the bike basket filled with oranges. Great for juicing. Lou

Hello! I finally subscribed so that I could do some posting. This whole Garden Web deal is just fantastic. So many neat forums to read, Ill be years catching up. Im single, divorced actually. To be totally truthful, Im at the stage in my life where I really like being single. I work hard and play hard. I dont have to answer to anyone, I do what I want to do, am financially responsible and no one can mess that up (but me, of course!). I enjoy friends and going out and doing stuff, but when I go home I want my solitude. I have a 10 acre farm, and thoroughly enjoy gardening (which is what got me to Garden Web in the first place). Oh sure, theres some nights when I get lonely, but I can either call a friend to go out, or get on a forum and gab away. Thats not to say if a special man came along that I wouldnt grab him, but its not a high priority in my life. I know so few relationships that are actually working, and so many that have broken up, that Im really in no hurry to jump into the fire myself. Im having too much fun to let someone else spoil it right now. Selfish? You bet. But Im responsible for my own happiness, and if I cant make myself happy, no one else can. And this forum is probably slow right now because everyone is out having fun!

lids will be stored in a space sectioned off in the front of the drawer. saute pans will be stored in a divided pull out (stored handle up). so... how much depth should i allow?

I've been waiting for this forum to find a pulse for some time now...

Maybe it's best to just give up?

LOL! I just came here to read the posts, & was thinking how depressing it was here. No offense, but you all make it feel like there's no hope for single people. Maybe it's time to change the outlook from despair to hope...

Then again, maybe I'm Pollyanna;-) Seriously, it's a choice to be single. If you wanted someone that badly, you'd find them. However, being single can mean being strong enough to stand alone & not settle for someone who will make us unhappy - just to say we have someone.

Single does NOT mean loser!

LOL Kayjones! I am partly to blame for this forum not going anywhere, I come here to read but see very little. However, I rarely post either!

I'm single because I've gotten older and no longer am I cute. The only men who think I am, are my elderly patients (I'm a nurse) ....only problem is they have dementia, cataracts, and other problems that make me doubt their judgement. LOL!

The men I am attracted to are all married. ) :

Kathy, when you get our age, you WANT them not to see so good. We don't need them to remember anything but our birthday, and occasionally, where we live. I say GO FOR IT!
