There are album sheets that are clear plastic (just make sure it's archival) that take 3x5 or 4x6, etc. pictures with places to write. It's a quick way to get pictures in albums to be seen and write sometime to identify time, who, etc. No creativity required.

Memory albums and getting started can be overwhelming especially if your photos aren't in albums (which a lot of peoples aren't) I started doing my memory albums five years ago. My photos at that time where stuck in a big plastic container, no order - not sorted etc. Here's what I did: Find a space in your house that you can work in and walk away and leave everything where it is (such as your bedroom floor, that's what I did) and then closed the door. It will take (depending on how many pictures you have) at least a week. All I did at the beginning was to get those cheap envelopes - at the dollor store (regular small envelopes)and an ink pen sit down and grab a stack of photos as you are going through then stick them into the envelopes and label, you can go by year or categories, such as birthdays, Xmas, Easter, which ever you prefer. Just keep going through all the photos sticking them into the different labeled envelopes. If you used the year way of doing it, you can then go through each individual year and separate into catagories. If you use the catagorie method, you can go through and group together in year order. At that point I went through and put them all in photo albums but that wasn't really necessary if you are going into the memory albums because you end up pulling them all back out.
