How was your Sunday? the 23rd?

Mine was kind of busy and then not busy. I went to church and came home to a mesg on my ans. machine that one sister was unable to work to take out her flower garden. We had made plans, my brother in law was going to bring his brush hog over. I called to see what was up, she wasn't feeling well and he had already done it.

So my other sister has the same wild flower garden. And the brush hog was over there by then. So I drove on over and they were all having coffee under her pergalo. wow is that thing ever nice. The had put up the T-111 that morning and it was ready for the paint, but they didn't have any primer to start it.

So went on home and lazyed away the rest of the day... Well headed that way, but turned at the foot of her road and went over to my third sisters house to see how the cupboards looked. I had polyed the counter tops and of course that makes every thing else look dull. Her son followed me in there on Sat, with his pail of poly unbeknownst to me or to her. So we got it all done is jig time... She herself suffers poor health and was unable to do it.

that was my day.. how was yours? Sat. was my sister's birthday so I road with one of them on down to the city and her son, his wife and daughter, his mother in law, Three of my sisters, two husbands and myself, we all went Dutch on the meal. they had an ice cream cake. Wow, did I ever eat too much.. Had I known there was the cake, I might have skipped that last piece of pizza..

Hey there Linda! I confess, Sunday's are football days for me. One problem though - I'm usually alone so when I yell, I hear an echo. The weekend was so beautiful here that I enjoyed it even though my team lost. Oh well...

Other than that, not much happening. I'm so stessed with kitchen redo woes that I really tried to veg out for most of the day. I did help out a friend though. The company where he works just laid off a whole bunch of folks. He was one of them - after 20yrs!! I did a resume for him and did some job searches. Felt good about that - he's a good guy and deserves a break on this one. That's about how my day went. Monday I went to look at more granite at lunchtime - still nothing.

BTW, one extra situp for you for eating all that pizza and cake!!

Happy WEDNESDAY! My professional and personal life are still incredibly hectic, but I can't complain about very much. I feel very blessed. The actual wedding will take place in DR, and they are throwing themselves a 'reception' at the end of June in a typical NJ wedding factory with 190 or so in attendance. She was going to really be laid back about the reception, but it has turned into the usual around here that costs more than an average auto!! I guess it's a NYC thing, but it is such a stressful situation for the bride. I'm so grateful that she is coming to me with lots of her concerns; she has been incredibly generous in sharing her life with me. Got to run and catch up with work. I hosted a scholarship luncheon here at the office for our local high school recipients....I'm the Scholarship Chair on our community outreach team, but as you all know, it's not my 'day job'! It is the fun part, tho! Make this week count! Love to all Dee

Marci - the first thing I thought of was Seinfeld when I read your name LOL. There may be hope for the devil child. Enjoy your weekend with DH. Donna - I like your pirate name too! Dee - I hope our guys win. Suzanne - Can't wait to hear all about your trip with SP. Lynn & Dee - I did watch some of BB8, but wasn't addicted. I understand all the uproar about Dick, but I don't get why people hated Daniele - I didn't think she was bad and she played a great game with so many wins. She was a bit whiny but I also kept in mind that she was the youngest one there. I also kept in mind that this poor girl had to grow up with him as a father - that couldn't have been an easy life for her. On the other hand I didn't like Jen or Amber at all or at least of what I saw of them. Jen was very vindictive and Amber didn't have a mind of her own and I wouldn't have been able to tolerate all the crying. Jessica also didn't have much of a mind of her own - she let Eric persuade her too easily and she hated her friend because of $5. Come to think of it I didn't really like any of the players LOL. QOD - this is a wedding event weekend for me. Friday 6:30 am workout with my trainer, work until 2PM, and then at 4PM is a boat cruise with cocktails. Saturday I work, go to the church at noon, back to work and then the reception at 4 with an after party at 10PM and Sunday a brumch. I don't think I will be doing much else.

Hubby and I went on a 2 hour drive through the rural countryside to meet with a client of mine. It was an absolute gorgeous, bitterly cold, sunny day. The wintery scene was spectacular. Check out the post office in a little hamlet. Isn't it cute???? Meet Claire and Flame, mother and daughter Bull Mastiffs of my clients. HUGE sucks!!

Nearly a month later and all the hydrangeas are in bloom. I'm going to experiment with drying them (I've been successful before) & dying a few to achieve the purple-blue color dd loves. I'll know in a month or two if I've been successful, plenty of time to make other plans. I was not planing on doing all the tables and arrangements myself, though there will only be about 12 tables. If I could slip a few narcissis and (with some luck) very early tulips in the arrangements...and perhaps a single hydrangea I'd be very happy. I don't think the financial savings would be significant but the pleasure would be. She loves the color of the blue twist and shout hydrangea, but I have absolutely no idea how it dries. I have 4 mature annabelles, so lots of mopheads to experiment with...also limelight (floppy) a few paniculatas that might work. There is a local florist who is willing to work with clients who want to use flowers from their own gardens. Thanks for your ideas.

I'm a native Washingtonian!!!

But, I love the Eagles, and hope they can keep it together. I do like New England but don't want to. Dallas, well, you know that story. However, the new rivalry might end up being between Washington and Phila!!

Where do you put your "money"????

Hey - I'm from Tampa. I have to go for the Bucs. But they're 2-1 right now - far better than last year.

I'm originally from upstate NY so I also watch the Bills on ocassion.

For college - it's Syracuse or USF.

Oh YUK - As I was getting ready to write, I just heard on the news that someone stuffed down about 20lbs of grits to win a content!!! I love grits, but my gosh!!!

Anyway, before I was so interestingly interrupted, I guess I should say G0 Bills - lived in Rochester for 5 years. I also like Tampa. I guess if I don't have to root for the Cowboys, I'm OK. I didn't watch any games today - granite shopping. I did listen to the Eagles game - SAD!!!
