Michael, glad I wasn't your mother - she must have gone through many lifetimes worrying about you!! I hear that's the stuff boys do. My sister had 2 but I only had one girl. She keeps telling me that the Good Lord must have known what he was doing when He gave her boys. I watched what she went through and OMG, I'm not sure I could have done it! My nephews, and my cousings (3 boys) all were pretty much like you. They've calmed down now and have families of their own. Wasn't sure the younger one was going to live olong enough to have a family!! They were alwasy good kids though - just mischievous. I'm REALLY getting some good laughs with these posts!!

Bunnyman: Well, I lived in Michigan for about a year when I was 5. Does that count? :) Not really, I guess, because I then spent the next 13 years in central Ohio, and I still root for the Buckeyes! Not so easy to catch them on tv down here unless I drive into town and go to a sports bar. You'll hear plenty from me about Texas and herding. We had a gorgeous weekend last weekend -- it was sunny and in the low 80's. Generally not very remarkable for Texas in the spring time, but it rained for the 6 prior weekends, so people were starting to get a bit twitchy. :) Texans have *no* concept of cabin fever. I learned very quickly that the only people down here who know how to play board games (I'm a huge Trivial Pursuit fan), are non-natives. Of course, non-natives are the only ones who know how to drive when there's ice on the roads too. ;) Herding is starting to pick up. I teach/evaluate beginning herding dogs once a month for my club. Mostly I get suburbanites who just want to know if their dog has any instinct, but this past weekend I actually had a couple of people who had some livestock. While their dogs did not necessarily do better, they understood more of what I was trying to do with their dogs. The best one in the lot was a 5 month old Kelpie puppy. He's going to be awesome if his owner handles him right. CarrieB: What on earth is a Harm Reduction agency? I have never come across that term before. Glad to hear that the relationship is going well. So, now that I've rambled on a bit. What do you all do for fun?

Hey there - what has happened to everyone????!!!! I'm new here and want some company on this forum. I've enjoyed your rants, and the warm banter. Gotta do something when you are single!! Hope to hear from someone - anyone...

Tinamntu, do you know how many days it would take to get a second or third estimate? It has just now hit 100, and everyones A/C is not working just right, I know you do! I had an old retired guy from the A/c business to service and repair for me years ago. He replaced the motor, at the amount you quoted from the supply company and did not charge me retail. Sigh, he is gone. I know I could have gone to the supply store and got it myself, but time from work and the repair person is going to look and me say? So I paid $225, plus one service call, even though they came out twice. So now a little poorer, but AHHHHHHHH, I will pick your brain later when I start getting estimates on a new system, if I may? I have been reading the h&A forum for a year, so I am overloaded with info. Do I want a Carrier, well, I dont know until I know I can afford it, and then I need three bids. So on. And I ask people, well most just bought the house with an existing system. So it seems only those with new builds would know. It is tough to get info. These systems last 20-30 years, but the contractor then is not usuallly here now putting them in. Sorry all, I am way off topic. AHHHHHH, it is cooling down!!!!!
