Like, Dislike, or No Opinion. Does it really matter? If you read a post and personally gain from that information but have no specific comment to share that is okay. Take bits and pieces from life and grow from the knowledge. There isn't a need to always provide feed back or approval. This all ties into self-absorption and the thought process that we all need reaffirmation. This is similar to the mind-set of let's give all the children a trophy because they competed in the soccer game or every swimmer gets a ribbon, even if all it says is "participant". The winners should get recognized and the others should simply learn from prarticipating and work to get better - to achieve a trophy or ribbon that carries worth.

I don't think it's really fair to compare the 2 spaces. One is a loft with a modern vibe, and the other is much more traditional style rowhouse. While I think there are problems with the first one, I'd still probably choose it to live in over the second. I could fix the issues. Whereas the second one is less to my taste, and making it more my taste would probably ruin it in the opinion of others.

Many Cyrtanthus are evergreen of course, but many of the others are summer growers. I love my C. obliqquus and C. herrei for both the flowers and leaves (I've posted pics of mine here before) so I can recommend those whole-heartedly. I guess I imagined he would want something to grow during the winter. I do love my Stenomesson, Sprekelia, Crinum and Nerine, but mine are all dormant now for the winter. Adenium are wonderful in bloom and the caudex of course is maybe the main attraction for people like me. Good luck with whatever you decide to try and grow for the winter :o) Dan

Yes, they probably did. They keep the premiums down by keeping as much money in their pockets as possible.
