Hello,

My inspiration for my guest bedroom is glamour! My main question is whether you think this bedding set will work with my paint color. My paint color is SW Steely Gray, sometimes it looks more blue and sometimes it looks more gray, I love the color, but have found it can be difficult to work with. Anyway...below is a pic of my son's bathroom in this same color. I have used black/white/gray and red (accent) for this bath and like the combo. I was thinking I could use this same idea for my guest room. There is also a pic of the bedding below. The bedding is a charcoal/gray/silver combo. I would throw in a few red pieces for accent (basically some color)and I'm going to get mirrored nightstands. What do you think?

I love your son's bathroom Elaine. Gorgeous, yet masculine. I bet he likes it too.
By the pictures you posted it looks as though the bedding would look great with the wall color. One can never tell for sure until you have the bedding at home in your lighting. Since there's multiple shade of grays in the bedding there's a good chance it will work. If the colors are right, it's going to look beautiful!

I think you've got a good eye and that the bedding will be just what you want - glamourous! Of course, like Becky says, you never know until you have it in hand, but from the pictures I would say it will be beautiful. Be sure to post an after pic. :)

What about this desk--Do you like this-- i would also order the cream/brown dresser. I can get this desk in the exact finish as these end tables-- same color.... would this work? Would can I put on the desk to make it fun- ie books/ a mirror so my mom can do her makeup- flowers?? The long wall where the desk would go-- what goes above it? Also I found amazing fabric today for my panels- its the perfect shade of bluish that is cotton basketweave- I cant wait to have them made- I will show you when they are done. We will do 4 panels- one on each of the outside windows in the bay and two on the large inside-floor length! And I'm having 2 euro pillows made with the same fabric to replace the brown pillows-- add more color on the bed...

I have no pictures to share but I do have some advice. My daughter recently moved out and we are using her room as a guest room now. I spent a couple of nights in it to get a feel for what it might need. I noticed that the bedtable didn't have a good light and that the ceiling fan was unbalanced. I went out and bought a good reading lamp and balanced the fan. I also put in a clockradio and a variety of magazines. I think it's nice to have a TV, too.

what color are your floors? I like both,,,the ikat seems to be a little more vibrant, busy, more 'citrus-y'. first one is fine too. maybe because of the vertical pattern, will give the room a bit more 'visual height' ?

Continuing the edge combe grey into the bedroom and bath would give you a brighter room and a neutral backdrop to tie the spaces together. Then your art and linens would add the color which you could easily change. You could pick a shade darker off the paint chip if you didnt want the hall, bath and bedroom all the exact same grey. Do use bright or saturated hues in decor if you paint the walls all neutral.
