Hi I am very interested in getting into this project, and I am all to new to scrapbooking. You know how it goes BOOM!! it's the craze let's do it! I just don't know what is the best way to go as far as what I'll need to get started.
Amelia, Just to start out if possible go to a couple of classes. There you can use different tools that belong to the instructor and find out if you like using them, before having to purchase them yourself since they can be quite expensive to start with, and many of them are hard to use without some helpful hints. Next I would choose about 12 pictures and buy the supplies to do just those pictures, die cuts, stickers, and matching paper, that way if you don't like the craft after you start then you are not stuck with a lot of supplies. If there are no classes available in your area, then I would say get the following: 1 good idea book, 1 pair of fancy edge scissors, some solid colored paper, some pattern paper to match your photos, an exacto knife to make close cuts with, a self healing cutting mat, a clear oval template, a small selection of stickers and die cuts to match the photos you are planning to do first. Study all the scrapbook sites and layouts on the internet that you can find with photos close to the ones you are going to be doing. 1 good pair of sharp small regular scissors, some photo tape squares or glue, one pack of page protectors. I am sure I left some things out that others may remember, I hope this helps. Feel free to post as many questions as you need to, we are all willing to spread this addiction. LOL A good link to start with is listed below and another with good starter tips is www.gracefulbee.com Penny
