New roof & gutters = New leaks

I recently had a new roof (think they are Tamko Glass-Seal or Glass-Seal AR shingles) and gutters installed by different contractors. The gutters are leaking in number of places, including at ends and at 2 inside corners. Water is also coming from roof (apparently at a valley) into the soffit, dripping down behind the fascia.

About the roof leak: My first thought was that the roofer probably did not install flashing in the valley. I checked the Tamko site and they do not seem to suggest this, instead stating: "...TAMKOÂs Moisture Guard Plus® waterproofing underlayment (or any specialty eaves flashing product) may be applied to eaves, rakes, ridges, valleys, around chimneys, skylights or dormers to help prevent water damage."

The question: Are valleys supposed to be flashed or is that something from the old days?

The gutter issue: The two inside corners use a corner piece that, logically (to me), would seem to be inviting a leak, given the way it was installed (see photo).

My contention is that corner "section B" should be inserted **into** "section A" (not the other way around) so that water flowing down to the downspout about 5' away does not hit the edge of section A. Also, the photo shows that the section B piece is not fitted very snugly.

The question: Is this an OK installation, with the expectation that all potential leaks will be handled by sealant? Or should it have been installed as I contend?
