I will be traveling to Grand Forks,ND the end of the month and will be looking for a scrapbook store. If not a scrapbook store a good craft or fabric store. Thanks.

I haven't been to Grand Forks shopping but I do know Fargo has a Michaels so GF might too. Otherwise, I'm guessing they just might have a JoAnn's and/or a Ben Franklin. You could try typing in retail or shopping in Grand Forks, ND in a search engine to see what you can find. Where are you from???

I thought Cornus florida too until I looked up the hardiness zones - they are what I saw in blooming most beautifully in both both pink and white here during the spring. I'd suspect a Malus. FataMorgana

My DS, age 22, has worked at the local hardware for about 7 years. When I want special paint, I go to "his" store and have him computer-match it for me. Love the special service. But they do special services for everyone. Besides cutting keys, screening windows, cutting glass, etc., they also do extra things. Like DS on a Sunday afternoon. A customer was passing through town on his way home a couple hundred miles away. His trailer lights were not working and it would be dark soon. DS sold the man the needed supplies and then worked an hour or two re-wiring the trailer. He didn't take any money for his service. Another time an elderly lady locked herself out of her house, so DS drove her home, opened her window, then gave her a boost so she could unlock the door. Or driving cusomters to the gas station when they run out of gas, or any one of numerous tales. Just love the small town service you don't get from the big box stores.

I'm in CT, and my husband lives for hockey (he plays 3 times a week & watches the NHL games), but our allegiance is to last year's national champ, Union College, who didn't make the tournament this year. We have two Union alums in our family, and they are both rabid Union hockey fans. So I don't dare root for anyone else!

3katz- In mid-August, DW & I went on a little mini-vac. Drove up to Grand-Rapids, & stayed there. Then off to the E/NE. Hooked up with Hwy 61 eventually, & drove up to Grand-Marais. Had to have pizza at Sven & Ole's don'cha know!!! Then down to Duluth for a couple nights. Uffda....I got full 'der don'cha know! Then down to Mpls for a night, where we saw "Power-Balladz" at Chanhassen. Fun stuff!!! Got backyard done for the winter now, except for some final leaf pickup. Trying to finish yard stuff b4 I'm in a cast this Thursday!!! Our tiny bit of snow is gone. Think we hit 50 today?! Faron
