Hi Pam - love your name. I only scrap in the winter. I love being inside scrapping the whole day when there is a terrible blizzard going on outside.

I have 3 young boys so I scrap when I have a clear table and some extra time. Being in Florida, if I wait for bad weather nothing would get done in my books. I have a table set up near open french doors to a screened balconey. I get fresh air, sun and "quiet" time on my books. Life can't get much better. Of course, I'm working on 5 years at once because there's not much extra time. I'm always hoping to stay/get current.

I'm a teacher so summer time is cropping season for me. For the first couple of weeks of vacation, I clean the house, then the rest of the summer is pretty much scrappin. In my opinion, it is too hot and humid here in summer to do anything else. (Northeast Arkansas)

Here in western Washington it rains a lot( though it's sunny and 60 today!), so I can scrap year-round. I do try and save it for rainy days, though. Our sunny days are too precious to waste! Speaking of which, I'd better stop wasting this one and go chase DD around the yard!

I scrap when the mood hits me....which is at least once a week. I haven't got alot of free spare time to myself. I am a Head Start teacher, going to college ( graduate in May...YEAH!!!!),married, mother to a very active 3 1/2 year old and I wish I had more time to scrap.......but scraping is year round for me. Happy scrappin to ya!

I hear you Hilary. I too have 3 young boys. Aaahhhhh...so many pictures...so little time. Actually this is my first visit to this site. I just started scrapbooking this winter. I always tried to "add" to my photoalbums before the scrapbooking craze caught on. My pages AREN'T as fancy as I see in magazines. A lot of it has to do with cost. Things up here in Canada are expensive...well maybe they're not...I'm just broke feeding three growing boys! I look forward to visiting this site often for ideas and inspiration.

I am a year round scrapper, I am also a garden nut too, so when the weather is pretty nice and not to hot (TN) then I am either at work, in the yard or remodelling an apartment for my mom behind my house. For those of you who have never remodelled your home, get mentally evaluated before the process begins because somewhere along the line you are going to lose it. LOL So I usually scrap LATE at night or when the weather is bad. I love hostas too, and any and all perennials. Penny

year round for me...either when a great idea hits me or rainy/snowy weather (NY)--yesterday is was 60 and this morning woke up to 6 inches of snow!!!! anyway, another time to scrap is when my daughter takes her nap; she likes to scrap too but it's easier to work on pages when you don't have someone shaking the table or "browsing" through stickers etc...lol happy scrappin'

I can just see the poor old table now wobbling for all it's worth while you are trying your best not to cut off uncle Charlie's head with your exacto knife. LOL Penny

Year round here too! In the summer I love to load everything up and take all my albums with me to the cottage. But snowy, yucky days are my favourite scrapping days!! LOL

I envy you having a cottage to go scrappin ... peaceful, quiet, beautiful scenery and all that stuff. Hmmmmm maybe we should all take a road trip and keep Mar company LOL.

I'm with Pam! Let's have a big crop at Mar's and bring her supplies from the states as an offering! :) Just kidding, Mar. We have friends that have a cottage on a lake in Michigan about an hour away. We're Toledoans- Toledo's on the MI border. I think she may be into scrapbooking, too, actually. Am I getting an idea for a great weekend this summer? lol

As far as when I tend to scrap, I've only been doing it for about two months, so I don't know yet. I love to garden and my two daughters (2 years and 7 months old) love to be outside so I think I may spend more time outdoors and less in the house scrapping during the gardening months. Hey, I could take pictures and gather die cuts, stickers, etc. for pages during these times and put them together in the fall when frost finally kills everything and we're forced inside. I am a little reluctant to take them outside yet, though. We came home from a three day vacation Friday and discovered the wind from the storm we drove home in had picked up the table on our deck (closed umbrella and all) and turned it upside down on the steps, shattering the glass top into a bazillion little pieces. It took me almost two hours to clean it up and I'm still not 100% sure I got it all. Fortunately it was safety glass so it broke into little squares with no sharp edges instead of splintering. I picked a lot of it up with bare hands because the pieces were so small and didn't get a single cut. But with little hands breaking falls and such, I might check a few more times, mulch well around the edge under the deck and wait for a few good hard rains before I take them out for extended periods. Safety glass or not, and even though we don't ever let her go outside without shoes, I don't want to risk having missed little slivers or anything. The dog's been OK so far, so that's reassuring. To make a short story long, I may have a reason to postpone the outside-all-day season and lengthen the indoor scrapbooking season. Am I being paranoid? We'll have to see.
