Thanks again CherylnPickering for pulling together this swap, which went without a hitch - great fall location - really easy to find - once I escaped the clutches of Scarborough that is (didn't know Finch turned into Morningside south- gotta learn how to drive on the 401 again, or else invest in a map that someone between 6 and 8 years old can decipher.) Although we never get as big a turn out in the fall as we do in the spring; we certainly never have any shortage of loot coming to and from our trunks; and it is a treat to spend a little time with you all again. It was great seeing all the familiar faces; and hope we've made repeat tailgaters from our new friends for next spring. Sorry I didn't have much time to stay and chat but with two non-gardeners anxious to get on with their day, I knew I needed to make a quick escape. Hope the clean up of the remnants wasn't too much trouble. I'll post a picture of all your rock donations once I get them all pushed, pulled and shoved up a slope into my new rock garden. I am so blessed to have met up with you all again. Stay healthy - stay in touch over here on the conversation side of the boards when you get a chance, to let us know how your fall and winter gardening adventures are going. No doubt I'll start potting up more plants tomorrow (which will get sunk into the ground for the winter) to get a jump start on my 'have to share' list for the spring swap.

Don't give up all hope. suzydaze is doing a Fall Flower Fling. And I am sure she will post overhear. She posts in many many forums. The Fall Fling is her deal and she gets many many participants. If you don't see a post from her within just a few days let me know and I'll e-mail her with your e-mail information if you want me too. Many of you probably already know her. I'm sorry this didn't come off well. I don't really think a very small round robin would work very well and I just don't have the network that suzydaze does. If you can't find hers there is another swap going on over at Southern Spirit Hunters by Barleychown. Hopefully you will participate in one or both of these and enjoy them. I know both of the hostesses and they are good people. I'm so sorry things didn't work out on this one. For some reason your e-mails went to my junk mail folder rather than my inbox. If I had seen them sooner I would have replied sooner. But I've been sick and just haven't been keeping up with things the way I like to. Take Care all and hopefully I'll be able to put something together next year.

Well, as you all know our wonderful plant swap has been put on hold. But while waiting for things to settle down so we can meet again this is a fun read from Felder Rushing's blog; Plant Swap Treasures: Pssst! I got jewels of Opar and a string of pearls… wanna make a deal? Among other neat things he talks about is the back story of the common name for Talinum paniculatum. Wow! I'm a Tarzan fan from the old comic book days and I never knew that! Happy gardening! :-)
